Now that I am fully supporting myself and I don’t have any financial help from my parents, I have to be really careful about what I am spending my money on. I try to make good choices, but sometimes it is not always a fun choice to make. For example, last month I saw a pair of shoes in the window of a local department store that I wanted to badly. I had enough money for them, but they were very expensive, so I didn’t buy them right away. I knew that I also needed to save some money because I need a new smart thermostat for my house. I recently purchases a new house and with that comes with a lot of extra expensive. One of those expenses is having to take care of my heating and cooling system. Taking care of the heating and cooling system is not something I am used to because I normally have a landlord that will cover the cost of the HVAC repairs. However, when you own you own home the HVAC repair costs fall on you. So, now that I know I need to have my smart thermostat replaced I can’t spend money on shoes that I don’t need. I really do want the shoes and after I have replaced my smart thermostat, I will save up some more money so that I can get the shoes of my dreams. When you are an adult sometimes you have to make choices that aren’t always fun, but now I think I will appreciate my new shoes even more!
