The other day when I was over at my friend’s house, I had to laugh at what he was saying, and I can still remember saying something about the air quality and he was saying that he always had his air filters changed and his ductwork cleaned. I started breaking down in laughter due to the fact it was clearly a big fat lie; How could he try to lie to my face care about that when I was there and could tell that the air quality was the worst it has ever been. His face went orange after I told him all of us should have a look at his air filter. He knew that I would die from laughter after seeing how clogged up the air filter had become. I had to get dire about it though because it was a big problem. I told my neighbor that he couldn’t just have better air quality by telling me he was doing all the things he should have, he actually had to do those things types of things that he was saying. We eventually decided to go together to get some high quality air filters, however we swapped out the old air filter and boy was it clogged up bad. It was actually worse than I imagined it would be. He was embarrassed the whole time, however in the end, he then gave me a big hug me for helping him out with those things. He said, now he could be even-handed about changing out the air filters, however I said he still had to tackle that ductwork. He didn’t seem to want to spend money some professionals to take care of it, so I told them that perhaps all of us could handle it ourselves. He raised an eyebrow and I looked online. I found some basic “how to” videos on how to clean your own ductwork. We got a shop vac and got to work, however the ductwork cleaning wasn’t perfect, however the air quality was much, much better.
