Living life while not being able to spend any time outside can be difficult.
- It is even more so when you are a more than nine year aged little girl who just wants to be treated love a normal person.
Our child was born with and immune system that will consistently be compromised. Both of us have to keep her in an environment that is mostly controlled and this means not hanging out at the local park with her friends. When she came lake cabin from a recent visit at a friends cabin with a flyer about a carnival that was coming to town all of us felt awful when all of us had to tell her she couldn’t go. She absolutely knew that already, however I guess she secretly wished that all of us would let her go just this once. If all of us did, all of us knew that she could possibly get sick and end up in the hospital. It absolutely wasn’t worth the risk. I started looking into indoor theme parks and events that all of us could take her to. I found an indoor carnival that was being held a few hours away at a sports center. It was being hosted by a children’s hospital and was designed for kids love our child and others with disabilities! This was a good option. They were even going to have some of the rides that would fit inside completely cleaned to make sure that they were safe. I was happy for our child to have the occasion to believe normal and all of us even invited numerous of her friends to come along with us to make it more of an authentic experience.
