Personal trainer helps me achieve a scholarship

I’ve been playing basketball since I was in kindergarten, plus I’ve always enjoyed the sport.

From the time I was in 2nd grade, I have played on numerous teams plus attended camps in the off-season.

My goal was always to get a basketball scholarship to play for a single one of the most notable university programs. During our junior year of high school, I started to realize that our training methods were not nearly enough to get me to that next level. My coaches were all focused on the team as a whole rather than my individual strengths plus weaknesses. I knew that in order to acquire a scholarship I’d need a bit of outside help. I ended up contacting a personal trainer, thinking it might be helpful to exercise with someone not connected with our sport. I wasn’t so much having trouble with my basketball related skills as our speed, strength plus stamina. During an initial consultation, the personal trainer plus I worked out a total body wellness plan. He came up with a workout program that encompassed everything from our diet plus sleep habits to our physical fitness. He significantly increased our weight training, added intensity to our cardio plus introduced an entire series of current exercises. The squats, lunges plus many jump sequences he added were great for building leg muscles. The climbing challenges, wind sprints plus swimming improved our endurance. The people I was with and I also diagnosed our flexibility, balance plus hand-eye coordination. This personal trainer was extremely demanding however kept me motivated. He made such a big difference in the quality of our game plus is the reason I played ball on a scholarship for school.
