I turn on the heating system for the bathrooms

When I come into the office right nowadays, I only turn the oil furnace on for one reason alone.

Our country is in the midst of a pandemic, plus most people have been sent home from their places of work! Anyone who is not considered essential for the workforce was either sent home to work or left completely unemployed for a short while.

However, since our task was considered essential, I still have to come to work regularly… The hardest thing about being the only one here is that they don’t leave the temperature control units on the regular program that they used to be… Since a majority of the building isn’t being used, the owner doesn’t suppose that the bunch of us need to turn on the furnaces to keep the entire building completely warm. However, I walk through most of the building, plus I entirely wish that they would turn on some of the furnaces so that I wouldn’t have to wear a jacket in the building. The only space of the building that still has the furnace running all the time is our office, which is a beautiful thing. However, whenever I come into work, I constantly manually program one of the furnaces to crank on. The furnace that I program is the one that also heats the lavatories. I suppose that it seems like a funny thing, but I don’t appreciate going into a cold lavatory. I would rather turn off the heat to the entire office than use a frosty lavatory. I don’t really know for certain if this makes me seem crazy, but I would imagine that most people would actually turn the furnace on just like I did. My boss hasn’t mentioned it, so I suppose that he actually understands why I am using the furnace for the lavatory.
