I’m shocked how far we have come with all of the smart technology.
Just about every aspect of our lives now has something “smart” to it now.
Many of our cars have smart safety aspects that avoid accidents. They’re still working on self -driving cars but I’m sure those are almost ready for the public. Then there are smartphones and even smart appliances that tell you when to buy groceries. What I’m interested in is smart HVAC systems. They save a lot of money by adjusting the temperature in your home based on your daily habits. Some of these smart HVAC systems can even open and close vents in your ductwork to keep the whole house feeling comfortable. Another great thing about them, is that they can tell you if something is wrong with your HVAC system long before you notice it. That way you can get an HVAC technician to come out and fix the problem without ever having to go without heating or air conditioning. As if that wasn’t enough, you can connect your smart HVAC system to the other smart appliances in your home and they all work together in harmony, almost like those old science fiction movies. Soon enough, our house will be cooking dinner and cleaning up for us to. I joke, but in a way it’s not a joke. See if I’m not right. After all, our HVAC systems can control themselves and work around our daily schedule. How much longer until our houses start making our daily schedule for us? One generation, two generations? I haven’t decided yet if all this technology is good or bad. It certainly makes our lives a lot easier. I know that it’s good for the earth if we are energy conscious, and smart houses help us become energy conscious.
