That is how many burgers I eat a month; four.

I have a burger each Saturday night after playing a bunch of ball on the beach with my friends.

I am starving after playing with them for hours and I don’t have the energy to come home and make dinner, so I go to this burger shop and get a big fat bacon cheeseburger with a small order of fries. On the fries I have them load it up with mayo and ketchup, which gives me plenty of calories to satisfy my crazy hunger from all of the exercise. The local business that sells it has great prices and I can get my burger and fries for a mere $8, and I can eat it next to the climate control system while I watch a futbol game on their TV. We would call it soccer in the States, but over here in Europe they call the game futbol and they are totally crazy about the sport. I have done some HVAC repair for this burger joint and some days when I come in they will toss in a free beer or two for me because I gave them a deal on their heating and cooling system when it got installed. I will finish a few more articles and then I am going to trot down to this store and grab some bread for my grilled cheese sandwich that I will be eating in a couple of hours. The local contractor in town usually joins me for lunch but today he is working on some ductwork.

Yesterday I was walking in my flat and slammed my left small toe against the wall and split the skin open under my toenail.

Needless to say, it hurt just a tad and I was limping the rest of the day.

I think sometimes when I walk my feet kind of point outwards and my small toe is at risk of clocking a corner of a wall, just like it did yesterday when I was hurrying to the bathroom. Today I am limping when I walk and am trying to heal it with some cold gel and ice. Heating and cooling an injured toe like this helps speed up the recovery time, so I am trying to cool it down with ice and then heat it up with my little heating device. I am going to buy some crocs for the flat so that this won’t happen again, but wearing the crocs outside is even more dangerous because I will get ridiculed by all of my friends in town for wearing the unhip foot coverings. The local business that sells the crocs has a whole bunch to choose from, because most people don’t dare buy them off the shelves, so I can pick pretty much any color I want. I can wear them when I am working on ductwork in an attic and don’t have to worry about my feet getting insulation on them like they do when I wear flip flops. I will go later today with a disguise and buy the things at the shoe store and be done with it.

At one time, it was only music that supported us each month and it was a lot of pressure on us, but now we both have incomes and don’t have to worry whether we make money or not each time we play.

We played music a few nights ago and recorded all of our songs and I would like to go through and listen to see if there are any songs that are good and worth uploading onto our site. I feel that we had three songs that were good, but I need to listen to them to see if they are as good as I think they were. If they are then I will upload them and we will have a total of 21 songs on our web page for people to listen to. We are both working as HVAC specialists in the daytime to make money to pay the bills so that when we play outside of local businesses we aren’t so desperate for money like before. At one time, it was only music that supported us each month and it was a lot of pressure on us, but now we both have incomes and don’t have to worry whether we make money or not each time we play. I do a lot of HVAC sales and repairs for the business I work for and will keep working for them as a heating technician while we fine tune our music and get into more clubs and bars in town. Our plan is to expand to other cities and eventually get an RV so that we can travel around and do shows in air conditioned comfort with our lovely wives. I think it is a doable plan but we probably need another year or so to make it all come together as a band.

 

New HVAC

I am rounding second base with my work online and am going to keep pushing to get it done by 3pm today so that I can relax the rest of the day and just reminisce about the fun time we all had last night on the beach.

I have so many fond memories from living here for the past three or so years with all of the friends I have made and all of the fun we have had so far.

I need to take a break from that fun and make a dentist appointment soon though. The local business where I get my teeth cleaned is about a five minute bike ride from my flat, and with their air conditioned office they try to make you as comfortable as possible. I also need to get a molar implant put in, but I have been delaying it because I know what it involves and how many trips I will have to make to the office to get it done. The HVAC system in the dentist’s office is really nice at keeping you cool in the summer heat, but all of the air conditioning in the world doesn’t make me feel any better when I am sitting in that chair getting my teeth drilled into. I’ve actually gone a few times without novocaine while getting my teeth drilled, all because I really don’t like that numb feeling after injecting it into your gums. My HVAC tech buddy got me to stop eating all sugar about three years ago now and it has really helped my teeth.

I didn’t realize it until I stepped into my friend’s house but he needed to clean his indoor air quality! But how am I supposed to bring this up to somebody without offending them.

It’s not like I can go up and say “Hey man your air conditioning system is terrible and your indoor air quality is horrendous, you need to do something about it.” I mean I suppose you could say that but it wouldn’t be the nice thing to do now would it? So I needed to tell him that he should take care of his indoor air quality in another way, but how was I going to do that? I decided to sort of hint at it lightly, hoping that I wouldn’t offend him. So I told him that his air conditioning system was very interesting, that it made his indoor air quality unlike any other that I had experienced. He asked what I meant and that’s what I told him, and I told him that the indoor air quality in his home is really bad. He didn’t get offended at all and thanked me for telling him because he wasn’t aware of it. He said he’d gone nose blind to the smells. He said that he would try to get in a HEPA filter and hope that fixed it. A week later I visited him again and I noticed that his indoor air quality was much better this time. Not only have you gotten the HEPA filled over here, also got a few standing in the air purifier and put one in each room. I was happy for him and he was happy too and he said that his home was much more comfortable to be in there with his indoor air quality having been taken care of.

There are so many options at the smart thermostat that I didn’t even know where to begin.

A few months ago I decided to add a brand new smart thermostat to my home. Everybody was getting one and I didn’t want to miss out so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and get it everybody else in my family was doing. The way I was thinking about it, what side if everybody was quickly behind these things and they must be really good. I was correct in the assumption the first time I used a smart thermostat I was amazed at the potential things that I could do. There are so many options at the smart thermostat that I didn’t even know where to begin. I’m so excited to try the first thing I knew that I could do and I was to try controlling the smart thermostat using only my phone. This is very easy. All I had to do was connect the smart thermostat to my Wi-Fi and then install the app on my phone and once the app had been successfully installed on my phone I could easily connect to the smart thermostat and control the temperature without even being in my home! This is amazing and I knew that it would provide a great opportunity for me to be able to save money on my heating and cooling bills. It seems like anymore they’re only going up even if I don’t change anything so I’m hoping that again smart thermostat will help save me some money as well as make my life more convenient.

This summer I’ve spent the entire summer spending time with my relatives.

I know some people spend time with extended family might seem weird but in my family I’ve always been close with everybody, even my extended family members so I love taking a trip to where they live to visit them every year.

They’re always happy to see me and it’s always been great getting to see all my aunts and uncles and cousins again. Something that I look forward to every year. This year though has been a little bit different. Well I normally always enjoy my stay up there I have been more excited to go back than usual. I’ve been really eagerly looking to just going home to my cooler home state. I’m not entirely sure what has been up with the weather but it has been so hot here that has made it hard for me to enjoy doing any activities with my family. In fact I’ve been finding myself staying in their house just trying to stay comfortable in the air conditioning system because it’s so hot out. I wasn’t the only one either. My cousins also didn’t want to go outside because of how hot it was. It was disappointing because we always enjoyed doing activities together but the sun was just cooking everybody and everything alive. I must say I’m so happy that I have a good air conditioning system because if I didn’t I don’t know how to survive this heat.

What about my first home? I absolutely loved everything about it.

Everything about it except one thing that is and that is the basement, the basement isn’t really creepy but it’s just damp and dark down there.

Unfortunately I’m finding myself having to go down there every single week because the washing machine and dryer are also down in the basement. I really hate doing laundry down there. It just feels so uncomfortable I always feel like there’s someone watching me while I’m doing my laundry. How am I supposed to relax if there’s someone watching me? The temperature in the laundry room is always much more uncomfortable than in the rest of the house. It’s at least 5 degrees cooler and there’s a dampness to it. I would like to take care of the problem once and for all until I’ve been thinking about buying a dehumidifier and a space heater for the basement. My hope is that the space heater will warm up the basement and the dehumidifier will get rid of all the excess humidity that’s down there. The following week I went to my local heating and AC business and finally had enough of doing my laundry and the damn basement and I purchased a dehumidifier and a space heater. I got the space heater ridiculously cheap so I was kind of questioning how well it would work for me but I was hopeful that it would do well. This is a turn on the space heater. It started to heat up the room very quickly and I noticed that it was doing much better than I thought it would. Now I can go down there without having an uncomfortable environment to do my laundry in. I’m thinking of eventually going to renovate the basement to a full room so that way it’ll have less of that creepy vibe.

Last week I went to go and pick up my air filters from one of my favorite heating and AC businesses.

I’ve always been a bit picky when it comes to my HVAC products and so I visited probably every Heating and cooling store that’s in my town.

So I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at the heating and AC company only to find that they had a big sign on their store that was saying they were closing soon. For me this was the worst thing I could possibly hear. The reason for this was because I have been doing business with them for over 10 years, they had some of the best service and prices that I had found! I hadn’t found anyone like them anywhere else. Why were they closing? I decided to go inside and ask the owner and he told me that he was selling what he and he received from the store because he wasn’t interested in the HVAC company anymore. They weren’t going to be closing for good but they were moving to a new area. They were moving to a better place to run their heat and AC business. I was so disappointed when I heard this! Now it’s going to have to worry about finding a new Heating and cooling business. I’ve checked every heating and AC company in my neighborhood and none of them were up to my standards and so I knew that I was going to have to try some place out of town. I wish that my heating and AC business would stay or that I could follow them to wherever they were going.

Today is an exciting day for me, I’ve been eagerly anticipating my new HVAC installation.

My wife and I have been wanting to get a brand new Heating and Cooling unit for quite some time but we were waiting for the right time to have it installed.

We had already picked out a unit that we had purchased and we decided now is the right time. We had bought an older home a couple years ago and I have been doing on and off renovations. One of the things that we had wanted to replace for the longest time was the heating and cooling system. The heating and cooling system was in good condition, although it did still work and we couldn’t wait to give it an upgrade to more modern Heating and AC technology. Apart from just getting a brand new Heating and cooling unit, we also got a smart thermostat to go along with it. I love having a smart thermostat in our home because with the smart system we can very easily control the temperatures of a brand new heating and AC system. There is no more having to go and get up to have to change the thermostat manually. As long as I have my phone on me I can simply open the app and change the temperature that way. I can even change the temperature when I’m not home so that way it’s ready for me when I arrive. Planning all this in advance with the smart thermostat has been wonderful and it’s with this technology that I don’t want to live without today
