I just don’t know what to do

Once a year my boss and his family take a getaway.  They are gone for a full month and it is actually peaceful.  He isn’t there, breathing down our necks, and barking orders at us.  If the work didn’t spend my money and it does I would have moved on years ago.  Anyway, as his secretary, I am put in charge of finding accommodations for him and his family.  They like to rent cottages or cottages, usually on a lakeshore, and they always want to try anywhere new… Depending upon how popular the section they are going to see is, it can be hard to find the perfect place on short notice.  This year, after searching online for many days, I finally found what I felt fit the bill. It had a private dock, several bedrooms, screened in porch and was close to the wine trails. There was something for everyone. They were traveling in late September and the weather can be anything from summer like to cold.  When you live anywhere in the Northeast you just come to expect that. I didn’t see a problem because the place they rented had both heat and a/c. The problem came on the third afternoon of the getaway. I got a call from my boss and he was clearly upset. He said that the cottage was cold and the heat was not finally working. I tried to supply him the name and number of the property director although he said that it was my work to call and get it fixed.  I said that I would call when I got a moment, gave him the information anyway and hung up the cellphone. There was no way that I was going to call.
