Leaving things uncheckedFor a long time, I have been freaking out about my energy bills rising. Honestly, it seems that every single month, the bill increases. I recently got around to talking to a friend of mine about it. He asked me if I had regular HVAC maintenance. Well, I let him know that I definitely changed the air filters regularly. He asked me if I didn’t have official HVAC system maintenance, then how would I know if my HVAC system was in good shape? That was a good question because I really didn’t know anything about what was going on with the HVAC system. So I decided to call an actual HVAC company to check my system. I couldn’t believe all the stuff that was going wrong with my system. The inner workings of the equipment was filthy and causing complications. There were a bunch of parts that needed to be replaced including the blower motor. Also they discovered a coolant leak and took care of that. When everything was taken care of, I let my friend know that my HVAC system was working almost like it was brand new. Of course, I had to let him know that the cost to fix everything was rather extravagant. He said that I wouldn’t have to worry about pricey fixes like that if I just get my HVAC maintained regularly. He was explaining that minor problems will eventually lead into bigger more expensive problems if left unchecked. That was pretty much the case with my system since they had to switch out so many overworn parts.
