There was a huge festival last night in my town and they were shooting off fireworks till almost midnight last night.
Then at 5am this morning they shot off a whole bunch more to end the festival, which to me seems like a ridiculous time to be making loud noises, but the Spanish people here are a different breed.
It was a fun time but I am totally exhausted today and plan on just having an easy day. I may meet my friend Lor at the beach this evening just to chill and hang out. I met her at this local business where I was doing an open mic night and we became friends back then. She works for a local contractor and I work right next door to her at the HVAC company doing heating and cooling equipment repairs and service. She is going away to college in two weeks to a town about an hour away so I may not see her as much anymore but we’ll still stay in touch. I plan on starting another open mic at this new contractor’s store as he is a guitarist and wants to get a mic going soon. I like doing open mics because it connects the artists in this town and we just have a great time doing them. I also like working for the heating and cooling corp as I meet a lot of nice people in this town but for me music and performing is where my heart lies. I will never stop playing music as long as I live.
