When I first started working at the company that I am with now, I really did not like it.

I went from doing landscaping to working in an office, and it was not an easy adjustment for me.

It was so hard to sit still all day when I was used to walking and lifting things all day long. I have found a few things that help, and one of them is stopping to do pushups and squats every hour or so. I have a great manager who just laughs at me while I do my mini workout sessions. I have learned to enjoy my job now. It is still not easy at times, but I get through it. One of my least favorite days of the week is Friday. On Fridays we have our staff meetings, and they are brutal. They are about two hours long, and they are in the coldest room in the entire building. I do not know why, but for some reason, they chose the coldest room to have our staff meetings in. Everyone calls it “the cold room.” There is no individual thermostat for that room. The entire hallway shares the same thermostat, and even though the other rooms in that hallway are around seventy degrees, this particular room is usually around sixty degrees. I keep my personal office around seventy-five degrees, so going from my office to the staff meeting room is like going from outside on a warm summer day to a freezer. My coworkers make fun of me for bringing a thick winter coat to the staff meetings, but I do not care. I would rather look silly and be warm than freeze during our staff meetings.

I swear that things go wrong during the worst times.

• I have had the same vehicle for over ten years now, and I love it.

I bought it when it was about three years old, and it has truly been a great little car for me. It does great on gas mileage, and it has not had any problems until now. Last month started the whole downhill process. It started with the transmission. It was having trouble, so I found a transmission at a junkyard for only $100 and put it in my car. It is doing great now, but three days ago, I was driving to work when I noticed that the heat in my car was not working. I have never had any trouble with my heater. It has always done a great job keeping me warm. I actually have not had any HVAC problems with my vehicle until now. I do not know anything about electric work or the HVAC systems in cars, so I do not even know where to start. I called a few mechanics in my area, and they all gave me their prices. I cannot believe how expensive it will be to get my HVAC system fixed. I am debating on just selling the car and buying a new one. It will cost more money in the end, but at least I will have a new vehicle. My dad is a pretty decent backyard mechanic, and he said that he would be willing to take a look at it for me even though HVAC work is his least favorite. If my dad cannot figure out how to fix it then I will probably just get a new car.

I’ve always been sensitive to the sunlight, but this is why I can officially only go out for particular lengths of time outside in the sun.

If I get too much sun, I usually will chop out in hives and sometimes I will even experience some swelling.

I always have to drink a lot of Vitamin D milk to make up for the lack of daylight that I get. The only wonderful thing about being inside all the time is that I always get excellent weather conditions control. My parents made sure that I had my own cooling system unit so that I could always remain comfortable. I had to be homeuniversityed but I still made friends in the area. My friends mostly would have to come over and hang out at my house, but they appreciated the a/c when they would come over. I would still go outside for sometimes as long as an hour at a time, but after that I would have to get back inside. I’m not sure if I would die from being in the daylight for too long, but the hives sure do get genuinely poor and they can be truly uncomfortable for me. I have taken all kinds of medicine for my condition, but nothing genuinely seems to help, for the most part, I’m just stuck being at home. I am considered to be disabled, so I can’t honestly get a job or anything. I have considered trying to work from home, but I don’t guess of any jobs I can do where I could honestly make wonderful currency. For the most part, I just manage the temperature control settings at beach house so I am comfortable and learn books or do research on my laptop. It’s not the best life, but I’m sure it could be worse.

It was a fixer upper for sure but the people I was with and I knew that the people I was with and I could do a lot of the toil ourselves to save cash.

Trying to make your way through life by making the best choices can be difficult, and everything in life can be gotten at a better deal if you guess where to look, but there is constantly a salesman, advertisement, or neighbor trying to convince you that one thing is better than another.

Just because your best neighbor or even sibling tells you that something is a good investment or purchase, you shouldn’t constantly jump at the opportunity.

You should take the time to honestly study the good print and learn what is best for you. Take the purchase of a current HVAC system. Just because your neighbor bought a particular model doesn’t mean that it will be right for your home. The design, heating and cooling needs, and price are personal to almost everyone’s unique situation, you and your family may only want heat in your beach house and choose a boiler instead of forced air. You may want mini split units installed in several rooms to accommodate individual comfort levels. Thee is so much to choose from and it seems that each HVAC corporation has a weird promotion going year round. There are so numerous decisions that need to be made that you need to sort through them. If you have a trusted HVAC corporation you may want to hire them to come in and do an energy assessment on your beach house to determine what plan will be best for you, not matter the purchase, sizable or small, constantly consider all of your choices before wasting your money or time. You will have regrets if you don’t.

My children sure do love their Grandma.

• I can’t blame them because she is a pretty extraordinary person.

Her life has been filled with challenges met graciously and honestly. I could not be prouder to be her son. And, I think my mom feels the same way about me. However, I know that she simply adores her grandchildren. They are little kids anymore so they feel like they should take a more active roll in Grandma’s life. I am proud of them for coming to a decision like this on their own. It shows me they have a sense of compassionate responsibility toward family. However, I am also attempting to temper their expectations as it concerns their Grandma. They so want to get her a smart HVAC thermostat for her birthday. I think it is a sweet idea but I am also trying to gently let them know that Grandma is all about taking care of herself. Little things like and HVAC smart thermostat could be taken differently by Grandma. I am trying to help my kids understand how much pride someone of Grandma’s age has. They really don’t seem to understand because all they see is making Grandma’s life easier. So, I suggested they talk to Grandma first to see if a smart thermostat would be something she would see as a positive. The smart thermostat will surely help my Mom control the HVAC much more precisely which will lead to much needed energy savings. However, I know if I suggested it she would shoot me down because I was attempting to meddle with her affairs. Perhaps my children will have a much better chance.

There are days where my allergies simply wipe me out. I hate this and have dealing with it since I can remember. When I was a kid, I had to get shots to just get through the spring. Fortunately, I am not quite that bad anymore. However, I still really struggle some days with the pollen. This way the filtered air gets purified as it goes into the ducts. Within hours of the whole house air purifier being installed I could tell the difference. This thing has saved me from a ton of suffering brought on by allergies.

I’ve always heard that the construction in these parts was not great, and something about the builders in this area, they just do not produce high-quality homes. It’s particularly strange, then recently I went through an experience of my own and that just blew my mind. I had no plan that a real construction supplier could be so forgetful as this. I was helping a shopper tour homes on the market as I often do, and both of us went into a small Bungalow in a trendy neighborhood; The bungalow had just been rebuilt and I was excited to see what replaces has been put inside, then but when both of us walked in, it did not feel love a up-to-date home. It felt old, stale, and dingy. The air felt love it hadn’t been released from that lake house in years, however maybe even decades. I was love no a single had lived there. I have no plan how they managed to do construction. The air was swelteringly hot and sticky. I had no plan what to do so I started looking for the thermostat. I found the thermostat and press numerous buttons which made of the Heating and A/C unit start humming in the background, however, I never felt any cool or refreshing air flowing into the room.
