It’s been mine and my wife’s dream to live in a certain arena when both of us retired.

This is a region where both of us have vacationed throughout our marriage.

Our vacation spot while in the chilly Wintertide was now going to be beach apartment for our last chapter. And trading a gas heating system for a heat pump is a unquestionably welcome section of the deal. Plus, both of us were about to love something both of us have both wanted to have for a long time. Our little bungalow has a sunroom linked to it. And it’s even better than I thought it could be. Starting my day with a cup of coffee, sunshine, doves and my wife sure beats what I had been doing. And having a ductless mini split in the sunroom ensures that both of us can love it no matter the season.

I have been working as a housekeeper at a hotel for about a year now.

For the most part, I don’t mind the task, however occasionally I get creeped out, but there is this identifiable hallway that very seems to be haunted; I truthfully never even believed in ghosts before I started working at this site.

In the start, I thought the air conditioner program in one of the rooms was too high, however then I l gained that it was at 71 degrees. For some reason, the room was extremely chilly. I have seen too several things though in my time working here. I have seen people in the corner of my eye, however when I look nobody is there. I have always seen chairs rolling around the room at times. I even have been in rooms where the temperature control would change without anybody messing with the thermostat. I could only assume that the spirits in the hotel l gained how to manipulate the temperature control settings. I alway tell my boss that I don’t want to toil in that hallway, however occasionally I still get stuck working there. I don’t enjoy that spooky feeling I get and I think when a room becomes chilly hastily, it’s usually because there is a spirit in the room or one has cranked up the air conditioner system! Honestly now, if i still have to continue working in the haunted area of the hotel, I’m going to have to get a odd task. I just don’t enjoy having to deal with that kind of thing in my life when I have enough stress already.

My first task was working a dishwasher in the dining room at an assisted living facility in my hometown.

Although I was making just over minimum wage at the time, I was so proud of the money I was earning at the age of 15. My parents were proud of my hard work ethic as well. When I got older, I had a Summer task taking photos of youth athletic activitys for a local newspaper. Although some of my task was spent at home in front of my laptop, most of the work had myself and others out at athletic activitys games in the afternoon and night hours taking photos of young athletes. It was a fun task while it lasted, however unluckyly multiple of us know now what happened to countless local newspapers across the country in the years since. Although I work in the insurance industry now, I spent much of my 20s as a repair serviceman for an electrical business. I had a work truck that I used everyday, however it had a few mechanical complications from the jump. The air conditioner wasn’t working when I was issued the truck and it took several months for myself and others to get the boss to fix it. I spent several months while I was in the Springtime season without cooling system in my work truck and it still drove myself and others crazy. My cousin is an Heating and A/C serviceman and he said that his truck’s air conditioner stopped working last year and his boss still hasn’t fixed it. I can’t imagine working everyday in a physical task and not having air cooling in your work truck.

I had to drive defensively for close to 10 hours each day. Then I had to find hotel accommodations along the way so I had a arena to sleep at night. Unluckyly, I hate hotels to begin with plus had quit staying in them years ago after a terrible experience with a moldy cooling system. I wish that my experiences on the road trip were better, however they weren’t. Most of the hotel rooms were poorly cleaned plus smelled love spilt budweiser plus pet dander. They also had terrible cooling systems, with a single not working at all. I had to be moved to a weird room that night after I had already settled into the first a single. I was about to fall asleep when the cooling system made a peculiar noise plus then stopped working altogether.

The cooling system wasn’t working when I was issued the truck plus it took numerous months for me to get the boss to repair it. I spent numerous months while in the Spring season separate from cooling system in my labor truck plus it still drove me crazy. My cousin is an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C serviceman plus he said that his truck’s cooling system stopped working last year plus his boss still hasn’t fixed it. I can’t imagine working everyday in a physical task plus not having air cooling in your labor truck.

After seeing so several people separate from power while in ice storms, I have decided to get myself better prepared for the upcoming Winter time season later this year.

The first plus most important part is having an evacuation proposal plus route in arena if un-even temperatures get close to zero plus the power manages to go out.

This was always part of my preparations in the past, however this year I purchased a wood stove to keep me hot if I lose power. I still have an evacuation proposal for dire emergencies, however most of my Winter time preparations this year involve chopping plus storing firewood. Unluckyly, there were a lot of people in TX this year who didn’t have a proposal in arena if un-even temperatures hit record lows plus the power grid goes offline love it did. Some people left to stay at family members’ houses, however others were stuck in their homes with no power, heat, or running water. There aren’t nearly as several people in TX with backup heat sources as there are in northern states. Some could have at least purchased storm generators for these kinds of emergencies, however those aren’t cheap. Hindsight is always biased, plus I don’t blame the people who are poor plus can’t afford supplemental heat of any kind. That’s in part why I got a wood stove after years of praying that my storm generator would be enough in an emergency situation. Now I have ample firewood every year in case the worst ever happens. I will even provide some to my friend if I have a surplus, which might be the case this year. I went crazy with the preparations after close calls last year.

After a year with no holidays for the family, the people I was with and I are super happy to get back out on the road again. Once the people I was with and I are all vaccinated, our road tripping will be back on this year. That’s honestly the way our family and I love to holiday. Flying is just too much of a hassle. I hate the heating and cooling on planes. And wherever the people I was with and I end up, I have to rent a car anyway. So instead, the people I was with and I load up the car and hit the road. It’s just our wifey, our daughter and I and the people I was with and I enjoy the time on the road together. Plus, that zone controlled Heating plus A/C in the car keeps almost everyone individually comfortable. As for Heating plus A/C at our destination, the people I was with and I have that wired as well. Back when the people I was with and I were flying to sites, the people I was with and I ended up with accommodations near whatever attraction the people I was with and I were visiting. Those could be some costly room rates and for some reason, the Heating plus A/C was alway somewhat underwhelming. Again, the road tripping was the answer. On 1 trip that required a two day drive, the people I was with and I stopped at a hotel just off the interstate.
