I discovered that our heat pump had been misbehaving a while back when it seemed to be laboring continuously, even when it did not need to.
Usually, it would automatically go off when the weather was not too humid.
I knew that I needed to look at it since our component was struggling a lot, which was not optimal. Usually, I take care of our cooling component & ensure that it is well inspected. Therefore, it was pretty surprising that this was happening, yet our last check of the entire plan was just a few weeks gone. Nonetheless, I started by checking the air conditioner setting. Everything was very nice here since the control component was not set at air conditioner mode, so the two of us were all good to go. I then proceeded to check the Heating & Air Conditioning plan for dirt and grime accumulation. This would be an unlikely cause because I had changed air filters a few weeks back & cleaned the coils. Surprisingly, the filter had a significant build-up of dander and debris that I did not expect. It appears as though the weather had been dustier than normal, & our heat pump’s filter had accumulated quite enough dirt to warrant an air filter change. Even though I changed the filter, I knew that calling the Heating & Air Conditioning expert for the HVAC unit’s general fine-tuning was highly advisable. Three afternoons later, the expert was in our place, cleaning & resetting things that I usually wouldn’t do myself. While doing all of her checks, the worker discovered that our Heating & Air Conditioning component had frozen coils, & the refrigerant was running low on charge. This explained the constant running despite all of our attempts. After a few hours of service session, everything was back to normal. I parted with quite a handsome amount of money, although I was thrilled that things were back to normal.
