When the temperatures beginning to drop, our wifey plus I begin our own Winter hibernation routine. We actually do not sleep all winter, however every one of us have to prepare just the same. My wifey plus I have the oil changed in our cars, plus every one of us have the mechanic put our studded tires on the back. My wifey plus I also make sure to schedule an appointment for Winter repair on our heater. The gas furnace is about 7 years old, however it still works easily well. I attribute the well working gas furnace to our yearly repair routine. My wifey usually remembers to call the heating corporation, however sometimes I remember too. We make an appointment to have a Winter repair repair performed! During this time, the heating corporation reviews our equipment for any concerns. The heating corporation has a checklist, plus they provide us a copy at the end of our appointment. If there are any repair issues, they are marked with a priority level. A few years ago, our wifey wanted to install radiant flooring in our Winter cabin.

I did not think much about radiant flooring out the time, so I did some research.

I read a lot of information about radiant flooring, plus I decided that the project would need a licensed supplier. Peak Summer heating in the South is just plain brutal for a few months every year. If you haven’t experienced it, then you’re in for a rude awakening. I have grown up with it & it still just wears myself and others out to no end. I can’t wait to see the calendar turn to September because I believe relief is on the way. But, while in the summer, our Heating, Ventilation, & A/C is working overtime. So, I take steps to try & shave as much savings from our overworked Heating, Ventilation, & A/C as I can. Simply turning down the thermostat & paying the subsequent bill won’t do it for myself and others anymore. The first thing I did was to seal up the home much tighter. I took our caulk gun & went all around the exterior of our home. If there was a hole, a gap or a crack that treated air could leak from, I filled it. Then, I took the caulk gun upstairs to the attic. While cool air does fall & not rise. The attic can still be a place where plenty ofhotair can seep in & cool air can seep out. So, I seal every single joint I can find. After that, I go around the entire perimeter to seal all that up as well. My next target was the heating from direct sun. There are so many windows in our home. I like that however it also opens us up to so much direct sunlight streaming through those windows. I ordered some special drapes that block the daylight & absorb the heat. All the little things can add up to large Heating, Ventilation, & A/C energy savings.

Technology is revolutionizing the times the two of us live in. The speed as well as consequence of that revolution are staggering. Our entire planet is now fully connected on a day to day basis. In fact, our Heating & Air Conditioning equipment is managed by a smart control unit. I was resistant at first to this type of control unit. Now, I’m so glad I had it installed. The control equipment has l received the patterns in our house to understand the best way to heat as well as cool the house. This thing knows when the two of us come as well as go. Thus, it moves the temperatures in the house accordingly. While the two of us are gone to work as well as school, the control equipment will adjust to lessen the load on the Heating & Air Conditioning system. However, about an hour before the two of us start arriving home, the control equipment will readjust to cool or warm the house to our number one temp. Additionally, the smart control equipment does something else honestly awesome. I am able to sync our automatic shades to the smart control unit. This way the control equipment can detect temperature rise from direct sun. Then, it can derue the shades throughout the cabin on its own. Just eliminating the direct sun heating is such a significant Heating & Air Conditioning energy savings. Can you imagine what it’ll be like in another ten years.

My central heating and air conditioning unit had been having some problems with leaking lately. I really didn’t think it was too much of an HVAC emergency, because everything seemed to have been working fine. There was no leaking from the air vents inside the house, and there was no problems with the central HVAC unit anywhere else. So I figured i’d let it go. Well, that was a big mistake! Would you believe that my central heating and air conditioning system unit caught on fire because of this? Yes, that’s right! My central heating and air conditioning system caught on fire when the leakage ended up wetting one of the small wires just enough to cause a spark, followed by a small fire. I was really lucky that I was able to catch it before it went out of control into a huge fire and possibly burned my house down! Once I put out the fire that my HVAC unit caused, I right away picked up the phone and finally called the local heating and air conditioning company to tell them what had just happened. They sent out one of their best central heating and air conditioning specialists. He was able to figure out where the leak was coming from, and was able to fix the wire that caught fire in the first place. I was extremely lucky that my central HVAC system was working at all! What a close call that all was! I will for sure moving forward pay closer attention to leaks and things similar when it comes to my central heating and air conditioning unit!

My family and I are sort of old school.

• We have the old values and operate like happy families used to once upon a time.

One of the things we do in that style is always have dinner as a family in the kitchen, with the kitchen table and all. In the Winter time though, for some reason our kitchen was always freezing. No matter what we did with the central heating system, it was not reaching the kitchen properly. This made it very hard to have a nice family meal every night. Finally, we found out about a solution from our local heating and air conditioning company. That was getting radiant heated floors into our kitchen. Since our kitchen was already tile based, getting radiant heated floors installed in the kitchen was not going to be a really big deal. Even the price of the radiant heated floors installation was not too bad all together. The entire process of getting the radiant heated floors was done in two days time. We had to split it up between all of our work schedules so someone was here to watch over the heating and cooling experts as they worked to install the radiant heated floors in the kitchen. Once it was finally done, we were able to have our nightly family meals at the kitchen table without freezing in the Winter! This was a really nice change! I am thankful to our local heating and air conditioning company for telling us about radiant heated floors. It has made a big difference in all of our lives around here!

I went to school to learn laptop science, i entirely wanted to labor in a lab designing robots and creating technology that will make our lives easier.

I worked entirely difficult in school and now after seven years of reading I finally have our dream job.

I labor in a lab that creates robots and technology to help assist dentists with surgery. It entirely is such a rewarding job and I am so cheerful that I am finally doing what I constantly wanted to do, but since all of us labor in a lab with easily high tech equipment this means that the temperature of the lab has to be easily controlled… The people I was with and I have to make sure that the Heating and A/C method is consistently being monitored because if the temperature of the lab is toohotit can harm the equipment and technology that all of us have been laboring on. Sometimes you will labor on a piece of equipment for years and a couple of days without the respected Heating and A/C temperature can ruin all of your progress! Not only do all of us have to be careful about what all of us set the Heating and A/C method on, however all of us also have to monitor the amount of moisture that can get into the lab. If there is any moisture at all that can cause irreversible damage to the equipment that all of us have been laboring on for so long. I suppose that all of this might sound a little crazy, however when you are laboring with such expensive equipment you can never be too careful!

My several best friends & I always go on a trip every year together.

All of us adore to visit odd cities & now that every one of us all live in odd parts of the country it is a fun way for us all to get together & have a good time.

All of us all went to school together, but now that every one of us have families every one of us don’t see each other as often as every one of us used to. I always look forward to our annual trip together & this year is no different, but this year every one of us are going to a tropical location that is right on the beach. I am honestly excited because the town I live in has been covered in snow for about several weeks now. I honestly could use some sun & I can’t wait to be with our best friends again. I have been packing for our trip & decided to check the weather. I didn’t realize that it was going to be so sizzling & humid where every one of us were going. I called the hotel to make sure that their Heating, Ventilation, & A/C plan was working & was correctly checked. I believe that seems absurd to do, but I don’t want to be stuck anywhere with a properly working Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system. Thankfully, the boy on the PC told me that a local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier comes out to the hotel to inspect the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C plan at least once a week; Hearing that the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C plan was checked so frequently honestly made me believe better & I continued to pack for our trip without any worries.

My parents have a local handyman that they use correctly, which is cool because I didn’t know those men were still around, and he has a pickup truck loaded down with hundreds of weird tools and materials for repairs, and he makes beach house calls all day every day.

• He has no storefront, just a truck and a PC number, and he says he can service darn near everything for cheaper than the other guys.

I offered him a try for a knocked down portion of fence, and his labor was just dandy, and after that I offered him more and more work, including messing around with the air conditioner unit over the summer. He was not comfortable with performing repairs on the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system and said he was not certified for that… What he could do was to deep scrub all the HVAC duct, check the levels and visually inspect all the components, and test out the temperature control to make sure everything was working well. Although he was not supposed to labor on air conditioners, he had a ton of experience with furnaces and had no problem taking those kind of jobs. He has diagnosed our parents natural gas furnace before, and they said it has been working perfectly ever since. I had him take a look at mywarmwater heater, and he said it would be cheaper to get a new one, which he could install, then to repair this one. Aside from the air conditioner, this guy can really do any kind of small repairs around the house!

My step father was just released from the hospital.

He spent six weeks at the intensive care unit after sustaining considerable injuries in a car accident.

After seeing the mangled state of the car, we are just happy that he is still alive. His mobility is pretty much hampered as his back slowly heals. Thankfully, walking from his bedroom to the bathroom is slowly getting easier for him now that he has a special walker with wheels and handbrakes. But, the worst aspect of all of this is the enormous financial strain it has put on my family. Even with the expensive health insurance that my step father’s employer provides him, the out of pocket costs have been out of control. They’re looking at close to $100,000 worth of debt once he finishes physical therapy. To make matters worse, he and my mother are in desperate need of a new central air conditioner as well. There machine is 16 years old and it always lags while trying to cool their house. With the medical expenses looming, they feared there would be no way to replace the air conditioner before summer weather moved in. We expected our consultation with the HVAC supplier to end with a horrific invoice, but instead we were surprised to find out the new system would cost several thousand dollars less than what we had all assumed. It turns out that since my mother and step father live in a tiny house just under 800 square feet, they were able to buy a system often found in apartments and condominiums. The small break on the upfront costs was a slight but important moment of relief amidst the financial burden swirling around them.
