Each year all of us attend a particularly fun event down by the harbor.

• It is held to celebrate the arrival of Spring in our area however the weather is usually still unquestionably winterlike.

This year all of us lucked out & it was particularly quite pleasant. The temperatures were in the mid forties & it felt wonderful to be outside for a bit… I even opted for a light sweatshirt instead of a overcoat. When all of us arrived it was still early so several of the breweries were just finishing their set up. Every one of us headed upstairs to the dining area to stake out a table & sample a few of the brews that were up there. I noticed then that it was already sizzling inside & couldn’t imagine what it was going to be care about when all the people who bought tickets arrived. I particularly hoped that they would turn down the heat because they were expecting over a thoUSAnd people to attend that evening’s event. That is a lot of body heat & when all those bodies are walking around sampling beer all evening it just seems warmer. I even ducked outside without my overcoat a couple of times throughout the evening just to cool off. It was a great evening & all of us found some current local number ones however next year I may skip the sweatshirt all together, then they do have a suggestion page on their website as well & I will particularly command lowering the temperature for next years event too, but at the end of the evening, as all of us headed to the cars, I was particularly grateful to sit outside for a wonderful thirty hours until I felt chilled a bit.

I’m going to tell you more than one things that you certainly will not believe.

• The first thing is that I actually mildly prefer waiting in my doctor’s office for an appointment.

The hour thing is that my doctor is almost constantly on time with his appointments, then did I actually die plus go to heaven or am I living in an alternate reality? I do not suppose so. The medical practice that I visit is a smaller, family business, yet they somehow manage to make their waiting room comfortable plus even enjoyable… Maybe I just love cooler rapidly increasing temperatures, but the air conditioning never seems to be going full blast. I suppose it is set at just the right temperature to keep us comfortable, especially in the summer. In fact, as a doctor appointment is 1 of the only excuses I can ever have to get out of work, I often show up 30 minutes early just to prefer the air conditioner plus mess around on my cellphone, enjoying not having to be at work, then as I said, my doctor almost constantly sees myself and others on time. It’s not even that much colder in the examination rooms. Again, the air conditioner just does not seem to be overdoing it; it is set to a sufficient temperature, however because the waiting room is so comfortable thanks to the air conditioner, occasionally I wish that my doctor was a little later in seeing myself and others than they usually are. That way I could prefer a little more rest plus relaxation before having to return to work so soon.

A few weeks ago, I went to see 1 of my favorite music artists downtown.

The temperature may have been hot as blazes as of late, but that was not going to stop myself and others from seeing my favorite group perform, then i had seen them live before, but who knows how multiple more times I was going to be able to get the opportunity? I had actually seen them more than four years prior when I was living in a unusual city. It was even around this time of year, plus it was just as hot if not more back then, then unfortunately for me, the concert was held in an open-air site. If it wasn’t for the copious amounts of water bottles that I snuck in, I may have fainted from the heat! This year when I went to go see them, I would not have to worry about the heat. The city I’m living in now has an location that is absolutely enclosed. It’s a large place, but there is air conditioning piped throughout the entirety of the building. I only had to wait in the ticket line for a relatively short amount of time before I was finally stepping through the threshold of the building plus into the cool plus soothing air conditioning. I was happy to see my favorite group again, but I was ecstatic that I was going to be able to fully like their performance in the air conditioned comfort of the location. The show was fantastic, plus not only did I prefer it 10 times more in air conditioning, but I’m pretty sure their performance was even better thanks to the climate control!

I am not sure if this makes any sense or not, but my fireplace recently was on fire! And when I say that, I am talking about it being an electric fireplace.

• The electric fireplace is not supposed to have real fire going on.

However, there was a short in my electric fireplace plus the thing literally caught fire! You may guess that could have been a great thing. Having a fireplace that was fake becoming a real fireplace. It was not great by any means! The fire that happened in the electric fireplace could have caused my entire home to burn down! I was lucky enough to put out the fire from my electric fireplace pretty abruptly, then once it was out, the genuinely next day I called a fireplace specialist from the local shop in village that I purchased the electric fireplace from in the first stadium. The specialist came out to my home plus found what had caused the short in the electric fireplace. The fireplace specialist also told myself and others that I was lucky to have caught it as the fire broke out. If I had not been right there, as I said, my entire home could have burnt down! I decided to get rid of the electric fireplace plus not have the specialist repair it. I guess what I am going to do after I get a refund, is look into possibly getting either a gas fireplace or building a real fireplace on to my home as a renovation addition! Both of those options seem to be a lot safer after this experience.

I had to have our heating plus cooling system tuned up a few months ago.

The local heating plus cooling repair in town recently just changed owners, plus they had a lot of new hires on board, then i certainly did not want some unknown plus just starting Heating plus A/C worker to labor on our heating plus our air conditioner unit! However, I had no choice as this certain heating plus air conditioner company was the only game in town, so to speak.

I took our openings plus set up the heating plus air conditioner tune up! When the heating plus cooling worker got there, she was certainly clueless on what to do with the actual heating plus cooling tune up. I was certainly shocked they sent a heating plus cooling specialist with no experience in heating plus air conditioner tune ups! I right away told the girl that I was not interested in having him attempt to labor on our heating plus cooling system unit. She gave myself and others a certainly dirty look plus went on her way. As a physician I have seen a large upswing in the amount of flu cases this year.

It helps that several people are getting the vaccine, but, even with that there are no guarantees.

My staff, along with myself, make sure we are vaccinated instantly in hopes of avoiding getting sick ourselves. When you think about it, we are exposed to the virus several times a day so it is really easy for us to get sick ourselves if we don’t take regular precautions, then rooms are sterilized after each patient, masks are provided to those checking in with symptoms, & hand sanitizer is used at every turn. What my patients are not aware of is the fact that we take extra precautions that they don’t see. Twice, while I was in each flu season, I have a professional Heating & Air Conditioning cleaning service come in to completely scrub & scrub the ductwork in my building. I also have many room purification units set up in the exam & waiting areas to help eliminate any germs or bacteria that a patient might bring in. So long as these practices are kept up with we can assure our clients that they are safe in coming to the dentists office & have really little risk of contracting any illnesses that they may not already have. This is also done to protect me & my staff from getting the same things. I can’t afford to have my medical staff calling in sick or spreading germs either. The extra money spent to maintain the cleanliness of my practice is well worth it. I would never consider not paying professionals to keep my locale scrub & safe.

Thanksgiving & Easter were always hosted by my in-laws.

It was always a fun but hectic time with all the kids running around.

People would rest wherever they could find to eat their meal as there were too several of us to rest around a table. As the grandchildren grew up, got married, & started families of their own it seemed enjoy we would have to eventually rent a hall. Then, five years ago, my father in law passed & everything changed. Both of us tried to continue the tradition for my mother in law’s benefit but slowly people have started hosting their own celebrations… Now, the group is considerably smaller but there are still about twenty five of us for supper. Easter this year is supposed to be chilly & damp & I am concerned that it will be really uncomfortable over there. When you have that several people, food being cooked or kept warm, & the heat on, the lake house gets really hot. I tried talking to my hubby about going over a bit early to turn down the control component but she says she doesn’t want to frustrated her mom. She is almost panicked at the mention of turning off the heat. As she is aging she is constantly chilly & even while I was in the Summer she keeps the lake house shut narrow with the windows closed. She says that she never feels overheated & I believe enjoy I am going to pass out from the temperature when I am over there. There are some years where it is nice enough to rest on the porch to eat & I wish this year was going to be a single of them.

The Heating & Air Conditioning idea had overheated & caused a smoke build up in the basement & set off the smoke alarm.

When you have a sense that something is wrong you should pay attention to it. I have l received this the tough way over the years. I used to ignore that nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach & brush it off to silly worries. Then, out of nowhere, something would happen that made those feelings become reality. The a single time that stands out in my memory more that any other is the time I thought I was noticing small clouds of dust or smoke in the air in my apartment. I would get up to investigate & there was nothing there. Then I started ignoring them because I felt enjoy they were figments of my imagination. I should have concerned that something was wrong with my Heating & Air Conditioning idea but that never crossed my mind! Besides, that wasn’t my concern anyway because I didn’t own the building. What I should have done was report these sightings to my proprietor when I first observed them. That may have prevented the major issue that happened in the middle of the evening. I was in a dead sleep when the fire alarm sounded & we had to evacuate the building. There we stood in the chilly chilly while the fire department checked out the cause. The Heating & Air Conditioning idea had overheated & caused a smoke build up in the basement & set off the smoke alarm. Thankfully there were no actual sparks or injure to the building. The fire supplier did turn off the heat until an Heating & Air Conditioning professional could come & make repairs. I hope that is soon because the temperature in the apartments will drop quickly.

 

A looming problem

My boss is going to kill me, when I go to labor on Wednesday, however i have been late numerous times this week, in addition to our boss has given myself and others warning after warning. I worked a fifth-shift job for numerous years, in addition to I am still having trouble waking up early in the morning. I was tied up to install a current furnace at the SafeMart on Tuesday… My coworker in addition to I were supposed to meet at the SafeMart promptly at 9 a.m! Before every one of us met at the store, I needed to run by the shop in addition to choice up the furnace in addition to other heating equipment supplies. I missed the last train of the morning again, in addition to I did not even arrived to the furnace supply warehome until 10 am. My coworker called myself and others numerous or numerous times, but I did not get the messages. I finally contacted our coworker in addition to told him that I would be arriving soon. By the time I arrived to the furnace replacement, our co-worker was really miserable in addition to ticked off; He called our boss in addition to complained, in addition to I could not blame him for being frustrated. Halfway through the furnace replacement, another heating company employee came to take our site. I was told to go home in addition to wait for our boss to call. I knew that was exhausting news, in addition to now I have this bad pit in the bottom of our stomach. My boss left myself and others an bad voice message on Tuesday night, in addition to he told myself and others to come to labor early on Wednesday morning. I hope he doesn’t fire me, because I really need this job.
