There are mornings where our pollen irritations simply scrub myself and others out.

I do not like this plus have dealing with it since I can remember. When I was a kid, I had to get shots to just get through the Spring. Fortunately, I am not quite that terrible anymore. However, I still really struggle some mornings with the pollen. We live in an section where the temperatures are such that there is something blooming almost all of the year. However, during the heat of the summer, much of what is orange goes brown due to the heat plus lack of rain. The Heating & Air Conditioning may run all day however at least I normally get a reprieve from all the pollen. Well, this year it has done nothing however rain throughout the summer. So, the pollen is silly this Summer plus I had to have relief. I have tried the room air cleaners however was really disappointed with them. However, I did want something that would kill the pollen in our household air. I called the local Heating & Air Conditioning supplier for an answer. They had 1 that changed our life from the moment it went on. The Heating & Air Conditioning guy I spoke with advocated installing a whole condo air cleaner. This type of air cleaner uses UV light to destroy all the allergens in the air. The air cleaner is connected to the Heating & Air Conditioning air handler. This way the filtered air gets purified as it goes into the ducts. Within fourths of the whole condo air cleaner being installed I could tell the difference. This thing has saved myself and others from a ton of suffering brought on by pollen irritations.

This way the filtered air gets purified as it goes into the ducts. Within minutes of the whole apartment air cleaner being installed I could tell the difference. This thing has saved myself and others from a ton of suffering brought on by allergies.

I was out at the mall doing some shopping, and right when you enter and exit the mall, there is this area that has all kinds of flyers for promotions from local businesses, information on different events in the area, and just general advertisements.

• I picked up this one flyer that was all about HVAC products and services.

It was a 2 page flyer that gave a small list of all the HVAC installation and repair companies in the area, and also there was a small portion that talked about saving energy use with heating and air conditioning. I found this particularly interesting. They were actually saying that if you did small things, like used a portable space heater in the winter during waking hours, or, if you used even a portable air conditioning unit in the summer during your waking hours, you could save up to 50 percent on your monthly electric bills. This was something that never crossed my mind! I always figured that portable space heaters were made for keeping you extra warm in the bathroom when getting out of the shower. And, portable air conditioning units were mostly used for when you were travelling, or for those that were unfortunate to not have a central heating and air conditioning system in their house. This opened up my eyes wide and made me realise that there is so much about heating and cooling I just didn’t know! As a matter of fact, I think I am going to go buy myself both a space heater and portable a/c soon!

Help with indoor comfort

Sometimes when we have small things wrong with something in our homes, we either don’t notice it, or completely ignore it.

In my case, I had a window that had a small crack in it, and I didn’t even notice it for a while.

Then, when I did, I figured it wasn’t a big deal, and that eventually when I had some spare cash, I would just replace the window then, since it wasn’t so bad that any bugs could get in. Well, this was a huge mistake, because it made my central heating and air conditioning system work overtime! I didn’t even realise it until I got my electric bill for the month. The bill was so high, I had to make payment arrangements with my energy company! It turns out, that all because of that cracked window I chose to put off, I am now in some small debt. I then got the window replaced. I even notice that my central heating and air conditioning system isn’t turning on as much now that the window is air tight once again. To think, I could have avoided all this by spending not even half of what i’m stuck paying for that energy bill. If anyone asks me in the future for any good energy savings tips, my first one is going to be…to check all your windows and doors to make sure there is no cracks and that everything is air tight! Man I feel like such a fool here. I will be keeping an eye on my HVAC system to be sure it’s not on all the time, as that will be a sign that something is wrong again.

I’ve always heard that the construction in these parts was not great, something about the builders in this area, they just do not produce high-quality homes, i’m not sure if it’s the culture of this city, or if they’re just have not ever been high quality construction companies in the area. It’s undoubtedly strange, and recently I went through an experience of our own plus that just blew our mind. I had no plan that a real construction business could be so forgetful as this. I was helping a client tour homes on the market as I often do, plus all of us went into a small Bungalow in a trendy city, and the bungalow had just been rebuilt plus I was gleeful to see what updates has been put inside… But when all of us walked in, it did not know love a modern home. It felt old, stale, plus dingy. The air felt love it hadn’t been released from that lake house in years; Maybe even decades. I was love no one had lived there. I have no plan how they managed to do construction. The air was swelteringly sizzling plus sticky. I had no plan what to do so I started looking for the thermostat. I found the thermostat plus press various buttons which made of the HVAC device beginning humming in the background, however, I never felt any cool or refreshing air flowing into the room. I have heard of people hiring Heating as well as A/C companies to come out and run energy-saving algorithms for them that help to determine where they might be losing volumes of high-quality treated air.

That all sounds very cool, however also very expensive. And our wifey said the store was a waste of money.

A decade or so ago, when I was living in the entirely northern section of my state & my mother was living way down south, I would sometimes make the 8-hour drive down to see her & visit for a while… One weekend, I proceeded to do just that, & about halfway there, resting in gridlock on the interstate, I began to smell an nasty smell.

I thought it was some disgusting paper plant or something spewing pollution into the air, but suppose what? It was my Honda’s a/c! Soon, the air conditioning air vents were blowing hot, smelly air into the already-100-degree afternoon, now, no one in my state wants to be someplace without air conditioning, least of all a traffic jammed highway.

Well, in those mornings, I did not have a lot of possibilities when it came to parting with my currency in unexpected ways, & online I read that my air conditioning service would genuinely be $1500. There was no way I had an extra one or several grand lying around just waiting to be spent fixing my air conditioning. I consistently put it off until later. Well, it was miserable, let me tell you. With no air conditioning to flip on at the end of the workday, I was feeling like I wanted to pass out by the time I got home. I never did get that air conditioning fixed. I kept that vehicle several more years, & let me assure you of one thing! Five years without air conditioning was no fun at all.

My wifey and I were so glad when both of us finally found this appealing apartment that had a nice fireplace in the kitchen, but the people I was with and I always make sure to have a chimney sweep come out every year to make sure everything is good to go with the fireplace. The people I was with and I don’t want to experience any type of troubles in the Wintertide season, and honestly, it’s my favorite time of the year because I like using that fireplace so much. The people I was with and I have a couple of comfortable chairs in front of the fireplace and both of us have a large screen cable to the side. This way I can always care about enjoying football while the fireplace is keeping me nice and toasty. I also care about studying in my chair while I have the fireplace going. I always keep a good sized supply of firewood, so that both of us can actually use the fireplace throughout the whole Wintertide season, and of course both of us have a nice HVAC program as well. The people I was with and I even have HVAC zone control which is a really excellent feature of our HVAC. This way, both of us are able to heat and cool the areas of the apartment that are actually being used. I don’t like to waste energy and I absolutely enjoy the lower bi-weekly bills… Usually when I am using the fireplace, I don’t bother with having the heating program working in the kitchen area. I like that fireplace so much because it is comforting and it saves me currency on the bi-weekly bills just by using it consistently. If you’ve never been able to care about the comfort that comes from a fireplace, you should guess about getting one!

I am pretty sure that my temper is going to be the death of me.

I work as an HVAC repair tech for a living, and as the years have gone by I have seen an increase in rude customers.

I am not sure if it is just the new generation who are buying homes or just some bad luck with customers, but it seems to be getting out of hand! Last week I was out on a normal repair check up at a customers house. They had been having some major problems with their air conditioning units for awhile now and were looking to get its output back to the way it was when it was first installed. This would have been a quick and easy problem to fix if the owner of the home hadn’t been so overbearing and controlling the entire time. I can laugh about it now, but at the time I was so ticked off I could have got myself in trouble. As I was working on the unit I couldn’t do a single within without this guy looking over my back trying to tell me what to do. Having worked as a certified HVAC repair tech for nearly twenty years now this was extremely irritating. After another thirty minutes of this I had enough. I stood up and let this guy have a piece of my mind. I sure wasn’t the most professional thing that I have ever done, but it sure made him be quiet. I just hope that this trend doesn’t continue as I am sent out on repair calls, because if it does I might have to retire earlier than I was planning.
