Let’s make the right calls

After my HVAC method in my condo hit the 10 year mark a few months ago, I started looking at chances for current a/cs.  I knew I wanted another typical refrigerant driven a/c, however was sure to request a method that is powered by anything however R-22, since it will be off the market entirely soon.  Even with these options, I had the choice between a method much appreciate my previous one, or a much larger one. Because the manufacturer of the larger a/c was running a promotion on that particular system, the price was only slightly higher than the smaller a/c.  I thought that this decision was a no brainer. Obviously a larger method would cool faster & therefore run less, right? My HVAC business seemed to follow my logic & encouraged myself and others to take the plunge. I have legitimately noticed a severe reduction in cycling times, & the air coming from my vents is noticeably colder.  But what I couldn’t put my finger on was why my condo rapidly started to suppose more humid than before the replacement. This seemed appreciate a blatant contradiction & completely opposing the other results I was getting from the larger unit, so I went out & purchased a weather meter to make sure I wasn’t just imagining things. It turns out that my inclination was right, my humidity inside was much higher than it should be, barely resting below the dew point outside.  I immediately called the HVAC business that sold myself and others the unit & installed it & they acted appreciate they had no plan what was wrong & sent someone out. He barely ran a diagnostic before he gave up & insisted something was wrong with my house. Turns out, if you sell someone an a/c too sizable for their home, it will cycle much quicker to maintain the control unit setting, leaving little time for your indoor air to pass over the evaporator coil & have the humidity pulled out.  I’m still considering my options, however it looks appreciate a central dehumidifier might be my only solid solution.
