The christmas season is just around the corner and with that comes the dreadful gift purchasing. I have never been a big fan of the holiday season as and adult simply because it is always stressful trying to find the perfect gift for loved ones, while also trying to act like you like whatever they got you even if they did not really like it. This year for christmas my parents asked me what I wanted from “santa”. I told them in a joke like fashion that I would love to get a new heated cooling unit installed into my house because my current heating and cooling unit is run down and unreliable most of the time. My parents are not the type to buy practical christmas presents, they like to buy shiny and fancy things for some reason. That is just how they have always been. Therefore I didn’t get my hopes to high on a brand new heating and cooling unit. On christmas day however, to my utter surprise I open up my present and it is just a note in a card. The card goes on to say that there is a HVAC service man on the way to my house tomorrow morning to install a brand new state of the art heating and cooling unit into my apartment! I was so happy and caught off guard that I almost started to cry. What you want for christmas sure does get a little more boring as you age, but man am I so happy with my gift from “santa”
