I do not know what it is about sleeping in a car, but I absolutely love it. Maybe it was all the road trips that my family took when I was a kid, but sitting in a car as it drives along down the road with a nice air conditioning system blowing in my face knocks me out like a light! Especially if we are driving through a light thunderstorm with the rhythmic pitter-pattering of raindrops and occasional rumble of thunder to lull me to sleep. It is funny that I enjoy sleeping in a car so much because it seems like my kids have taken after me. Nowadays, cars are even more comfortable than they used to be including the climate control system. I feel like my kids are spoiled with all of the heating and air options that my minivan has for them. They even get their own controls for the climate control system back there and they do bicker over it occasionally. We like to make good time when we are traveling, yet except for the occasional bathroom break, my kids are perfectly content to sleep in our van as we continue to drive instead of stopping at a hotel. I don’t even think the hotel would have as good a heating and air system as our minivan anyway! The last trip we took, it was actually difficult to coax the kids out of the vehicle once we arrived! The air conditioning was so blissful that they were sound asleep and wanted to keep it that way.
The different types of thermostats
