Small neighborhood residents have several things in common. Anyone who grew up in one of these places can tell you stories that sound similar to others with the same upbringing. The corner grocery, one stop light, local hardware store, & knowing everyone in town. This type of thing can be great, that is, unless you want to open a new supplier in one of these towns. My partner is from one such neighborhood & when every one of us decided to transfer back there to be close to her parents I upset about finding a job. I am an Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker by trade & there wasn’t even a dealership for miles around. I figured I could fill a need if I opened up a small maintenance shop. I could offer maintenance on home Heating, Ventilation & A/C systems & get to believe the people in neighborhood at the same time. The problem was, I wasn’t from there so I found that numerous didn’t want to do supplier with the new lady. Even though our partner was from there it was still truly difficult to receive the trust of the townsfolk. I had to convince our partner to toil at the shop & answer the cellphone so that people could talk to someone that they knew. Slowly, people started to trust our abilities & I acquired enough shoppers to spend money the bills. I still show up & I am greeted by people asking me about our partner even though I don’t mind. I assume I will never truly be one of them but so long as I can run a successful supplier that is all that truly matters.
