I often get lost in my very own little world.
Some have called this absent minded.
Like I am some sort of goofy absent minded professor or something. I think I just get to thinking hard on one topic and I tend to forget a bunch of other details going on around me. I have in fact gone to my ultimate frisbee game wearing two different colored socks. But, in my defense, they were just two different shades of green. My friends would just not let it go. Unfortunately, I tend to forget more important things as well. I never remember to look after the HVAC in my home. I live in the South and a reliable, working HVAC is vital especially during the heat of summer. The HVAC folks I deal with have gone so far as to call and email me to remind me about seasonal HVAC maintenance. But, I still can’t remember to get it done. I have to get better at caring for the HVAC unit. I think I’ll just ask for a permanent appointment and show the HVAC tech where the house key is hidden if I forget and am not at home. I could also do more on my own to help the heating and cooling unit. I need to change the air filter with more regularity. I tend to leave the same one in there for months at a time and I know this is bad. Any HVAC unit has to have unobstructed airflow to work. I can’t afford to let my forgetfulness be the end of my HVAC unit.
