I generally love going to see our good friend, because it serves as a mini holiday from life.
I get to stay at our friend’s condo for a night or 2 and let the rest of the world go by unnoticed.
However, I will say that there are times it isn’t quite as great as I would hope… Specifically, when the outdoor air temperature isn’t as great as I would love it to be. That’s when the indoor air quality also takes a dive and ruins the whole experience. This has been the case multiple times now, when the weather conditions has taken an unblessed turn towards warm and humid weather, in certain. Suddenly the outdoor air temperature skyrockets and the indoor air quality becomes an absolute joke. It gets so balmy and hot, it’s impossible to even breathe let alone try to sleep. Cue me, sitting awake all night by myself, covered in sweat through the sheets and praying for the sweet chilly relief of day. I’ve tried opening windows and turning on ceiling fans to mediocre the indoor air temperature and try to produce some cooler air, however nothing makes a difference. Unless I could touch the control machine and adjust the indoor air temperature significantly with the A/C machine outdoors, there’s no way I could get a more comfortable air flow going. That’s why I sit silently in our misery, begging the universe for a chilly draft so I can get a little sleep. Those are the weekends I wish I had just stayed home, where the vibe isn’t so calming, however the powerful central AC machine sure is.
