Window a/cs are surprisingly effective

You do not constantly need new technology to get wonderful results.

I have a friend who uses a cell iPhone from the late 2000s, and it still works. It’s one of those seasoned flip iPhones and he’s had it for at least the last 15 years. There’s some people that feel like they need a new iPhone every year even if the seasoned one still works. I still have the same smartphone from a couple years ago and I am just glad that the GPS gets me to where I need to go when I am looking for a unique location I have not been before. I use my iPhone more for its apps than I do for calling or texting people. That’s why I would not be able to get by with a 15-year-old flip iPhone for my purposes particularally, however but there are other instances where I am more than glad to use seasoned technology. When I decided to turn a guest home office into a household office, I realized that the air conditioner wasn’t cooling that room as much as the other parts of the house. You could repair the ventilation system to compensate for the temperature differences, however I decided to add an a/c to the household office. Instead of spending a lot of money on a ductless mini split, I simply bought a window a/c from the hardware store. Even though window a/cs have been around forever, the technology has improved fastly in their harshly efficient price, but compare a $300 window a/c to a $3,000 ductless mini split, and you’ll wonder why you’re paying 10 times the price for the latter.
