I can remember scoffing at the idea of working remotely.

When you learn a trade you don’t have to invest as much currency, however you have to be ready & willing to labor & to study. When you learn a trade, you can labor as you learn, as often times the many things are connected, meaning that you can’t just study from a manual you have to get your hands dirty. When I started taking our Heating, Ventilation, & A/C certification prep courses I was the only lady in the room that wasn’t already working in the field. The instructor offered myself and others a few corporation cards for local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C businesss & told myself and others to start talking to people. I would not be able to get a full understanding of heating & cooling systems at a desk, or behind a laptop, I needed to get out there & start working. Mostly they focused on commercial grade Heating, Ventilation, & A/C systems, which meant they worked in shopping malls & huge box stores. Although I knew I would honestly be working more with residential Heating, Ventilation, & A/C systems in the future, I couldn’t pass up this opportunity. I kept taking our classes at night, & worked full time with her Heating, Ventilation, & A/C crew for 6 months. When I pass the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C certification, our future is bright!
