My friend didn’t mind donating his kidney, but he minded the temperature control settings

I was blown away when a friend of mine was telling me about the time he donated his kidney to his sister who was in need of the transplant.

He said the surgery was successful and it saved her life, however, he didn’t enjoy being in the hospital.

He said the place was absolutely freezing because they had the temperature control settings set to North Pole settings. He was laughing and telling me how he would have been fine if it weren’t for those brutal temperature control settings with the A/C system cranked up at full blast. He had to ask for a few extra blankets, but he had to be knocked out anyway. He said it felt best when he was put to sleep because he didn’t have to deal with the freezing temperatures. I suppose they do that to prevent the spread of germs and infections. I’m not sure if I would want to go through a major surgery like that, and I’m certainly not sure if I could do without one of my organs. It takes a great deal of bravery to be able to donate your organs like that when you are still alive. There is always the risk of something going wrong and you could actually die because of it. I don’t think you would die from freezing to death because of the temperature control settings, but they could cut a blood vessel or something and maybe you could bleed to death. I personally wouldn’t want to take the risk but I might do it for somebody who I loved very much.
