Heated home for stray cats

When I was growing up, both of us had a pretty unregular thing that happened at our home very often, and we regularly had pets show up on our doorstep; Literally, and my mom regularly joked that both of us you must have some kind of vacancy sign outside, which drew all of these stray & disfigured pets directly to our residence.

As such, both of us wound up being the “zoo house” of the neighborhood, then the problem was, for every animal or animal that both of us brought into our house, there were another multiple that both of us couldn’t fit into the residence.

We did our best to find homes for these pets, however often times both of us saw strays running around who weren’t going to be actually adopted. That’s what I came up with the idea of transforming our small, decrepit shed into a heated shelter for the local stray pets; I figured, even if the pets were scared & didn’t want to trust us enough to come inside our house, both of us could provide heat & shelter for them outside. We got to toil with the small shed, first plugging up all of the drafty holes in the sides of the building. We put modern insulation into the roof & tried to seal all of the problem areas around the structure. Then, I began searching for heating solutions at local thrift stores. I knew both of us would need safe heating that couldn’t be knocked over or accidentally caught on fire, so eventually both of us were able to find ourselves in affordable used mini break ductless heating & cooling system. The heating system safely stayed on the wall, out of danger’s way, & the shed was toasty sizzling every single afternoon. I know both of us saved a lot of pets with our heated shed.
