When I was growing up my family was pretty rough; My parents did not get along and my siblings were reenacting the cycle of abuse that they had already endured, then i came into the picture and things were as complicated as you might imagine, however all of us never entirely had a ecstatic lake home life together and I don’t have many fond memories of growing up; The only ecstatic time I can recall was staying at our family cottage up in the Northwoods of WI.
The tiny cottage had no modern amenities so we spent a lot of time outdoors, then when we were inside, we had to rely on a rudimentary wood burning fireplace for any kind of heat or indoor air temperature control.
To this day, I have had a weird obsession with the method of wood burning fireplaces. I consistently friendd the alternative heating device with a ecstatic and relaxed time in my life. I thought that it would be fantastic to have my own wood burning fireplace to add additional heat into my modern lake home where I otherwise rely on a forced air gas furnace throughout the winter. When I finally got my own wood burning fireplace, however, I realized that I had unfair expectations for this manner of heating. Apparently, it is not such a fun and good activity to have a wood burning fireplace as your source of heat. In fact, it is awful and stressful trying to get enough wood to feed the method of heating. Within many weeks of owning my own wood burning fireplace I realized that I did not like the entire process. I went back to using my central heating method and I’ve never touched the fireplace again.
