I’m trying to write as I listen to someone laying on their car horn for 15 seconds at a time. I live on a narrow one way street and when someone blocks the road the horns start to blare. I don’t even bother looking out anymore as it seems to happen on a regular basis, but today there is someone holding down the horn for way too long so I will go take a look. Okay, I just looked and there was a delivery truck in the way but the other car backed down the road and went around. This local business near me gets lots of deliveries for food which is why I hear horns often from people trying to pass by. Luckily, my job working for the local contractor is close enough for me to ride my bike to. I even walk to work some days but it is about a twenty minute walk so biking is a lot more efficient unless I have extra time to get there. I sell heated flooring for the new contractor and also help him with inventory and stocking the shelves when new HVAC equipment arrives. It’s a cool job and I like working with the HVAC techs there as we get along very well. I’ve been working there for about a year now and hope to stay there for as long as I live in this town. I may be in the market for a new gas furnace and am going to talk to the boss about getting a price for one soon.
