For a long time my cooling system was not working so hot.

Anytime I turned down the temperature on the thermostat, I knew it was wishful thinking.

My AC system just never seemed to get cool. I could have heating and slightly cool air. Those were my options. I tried cleaning the air filter, cleaning the indoor AC unit and sticking a vacuum up inside of it. It wasn’t until I was outside the house that I deduced the repair. The outdoor unit with my cooling device was at an angle. For a long time I thought that was no big deal. After not finding the AC repair, I started researching about outdoor components. A lopsided outdoor unit is no good. The coolant in the system will all run to one side of the machine. So when the air is cycled and blown, there is no coolant to actually cool down that air due to the angle. It was such a simple fix too. I took some bricks and old pieces of wood to make the machine level again. After it was all squared away, the cooling system worked like a champ. I actually have cold air and the thermostat temperature is matched. The air conditioner also makes way less noise than it used to and can actually turn off since it reaches the temperature I want. My energy bills are lower and I am happier in my home. The only issue was just a slightly skewed outdoor unit. Who would have thought? Glad I did the research and noticed it.

There are certain things a homeowner can tackle themselves and others they cannot. I know I can do my own oil change on a car. I can’t however, do any major repairs with the brakes or engine. With the HVAC, I can change air filter, clean the fan blades and even add more freon if needed. Anything bigger than that, I am stuck calling the professional. I would really like to expand my skills. I think especially in ductwork I can do some of the work. Every couple of years a homeowner should pay for ductwork cleaning. I have watched a duct cleaning appointment. It is not all that impressive. The HVAC contractor takes a large scrub brush and pushes it through the air vents. The HVAC professional just seems to guess where the brush should go and twirls it around. It is not very scientific or difficult looking. The only thing I would need is the actual scrubbing tool. I wonder if I can fashion my own or if there is a reason HVAC contractors all have the same brush. There must be an online store that sells HVAC equipment though. Getting the ductwork cleaning tool should be easy. Ductwork sealing would be a little more difficult. That tool looks like an airsoft gun. The gun has sealant particles in the air that it blows out. I wonder how much that tool is and how much it is to get it refilled. I like the idea of being able to do duct sealing anytime I want to. I would save so much money.

There are many benefits to renting.

Making holes in the wall or dented appliances is not a big deal. I don’t worry about weeds in the garden or sticks in the lawn. It is nice knowing I won’t stay in the house forever, so upkeep is sort of an afterthought. Another good point should be that my landlord handles any service that I need. My landlord is really bad about getting back to me on necessary service. I have called about my roof leaking three times and heard nothing back. It is not my roof that will be forever damaged with water. So I think I might give up. I will not give up on my heater system repair though. For a long time the heating unit was acting funky. It was making these horrible screeching sounds. The speed seemed to vary for a while too. The heater would sound like it was really working and then like it was barely moving. The fan almost seemed to power high and low while it was heating. So it was not a surprise that one day the heater just refused to turn on. I need my landlord to call a HVAC business and get a heating professional in my rental home. I want the heater fixed before the cold season starts. The landlord is taking his sweet time on it though. I think he does not want to spend the money on a heater repair. But, I am not willing to go one day in the cold season without heating. He better get on it.

I remember the silliest Halloween we ever had as a family. It was not because of recognizably deranged costumes. it was not because someone spiked the punch, however just kidding, we weren’t allowed to drink as kids anyway, but no, even as a child, I could guess it as the silliest Halloween we ever had because of the way that we made the choice to go trick-or-treating. You see, this was a single of the hottest Halloweens on record for our area; Summer hadn’t quite gotten the memo that it needed to cease and desist, even this late into Autumn. When we began our trick or treating escapades at at 6 p.m., it was 73° even outside! Not to mention that humidity was undoubtedly high. The deranged section was that our parents decided to drive us around the neighborhood so that we can have the benefit of the car’s cooling system component as we trick or treated. We even had a couple of our next door neighbor friends join in, as their parents were recognizably cheerful to have their children supervised during their trick or treating. As deranged as this felt, it was pretty effective at keeping us cool while we searched high and low for that sweet precious candy. I could tell some of the other kids running around in the heat were pretty jealous that we had a car with a/c to enjoy. We didn’t guess we were recognizably special however our parents our surely did. They weren’t about to let their dear children overheat that night!

Anyone who had a fantastic Halloween when they were a child are lying if they say they don’t miss it, what a lovely holiday to provide you an excuse to explore the town with your friends and siblings on your own and get delicious candy at nearly every door all while traipsing around in a wild costume; Christmas may trump Halloween as our number one holiday, but I understand people when they say that Halloween was their number one! Of course, when you get older, it is not the same, i remember the last time I genuinely celebrated Halloween was our junior year of high university.

There was a costume party at the university gym. I made the grave mistake of dressing up in a Sasquatch suit, but perhaps it would not have been so grave a mistake if the gym’s oil furnace was not literally stuck on full blast, and yes, that genuinely happened. It was barely frigid enough outside to justify having the oil furnace on at all, and here it was broken and blasting appreciate a…well, a oil furnace. I was in straight up danger of dehydration if I didn’t drink as much punch as I could. Too poor it tasted horrible. It was nice that some of our university friends were so amused with our costume, but there were times when I had to ditch them just to go outside and enjoy the coolness as opposed to the unforgiving heat inside, but as I took a moment to get relief in the cool evening air, I realized I was done with Halloween. The glory afternoons were over.

After working at the same office for the past twenty many years I lost my task due to the company being sold! For the first few weeks after I was let go I was a complete plus total mess! Not only because I had made so many friends during my time at my old task, but I had the perfect set up.

In my office I had a state of the art air conditioner component that my boss had been gracious enough to donate to myself and others as a gift for winning the “leadership” award a few years ago, plus I also had formed a solid chemistry with my coworkers over that time frame.

Not that I have found a current task plus have been there for a while now, it just makes myself and others miss my old task plus my friends even more. My boss is rude, my coworkers aren’t welcoming, plus my work section is terrible, however rather than having an office equipped with a state of the art cooling system component that I could control with a purpletooth remote, I am now resigned to a small cubicle with no air conditioner, no fans, plus a desktop laptop that looks love it is from the early 2000’s. I’m not going to lose faith just yet with this task however. After a few years I just might have an office plus friendships similar to what I used to have, however until after that I am facing some long plus angry mornings at work. As my mom would always tell myself and others when I was younger, it could be a lot worse!

A few months ago the supplier that I work for had a sign in the break room that said there would be a supplier wide half marathon at the end of the month, plus the winner would be given an extra many weeks holiday, along with a $1000 dollar prize; This was evidently some health initiative they were trying to promote in the business, however all I saw was the currency plus the time off, when I got condo that evening, I began to train to win this half marathon.

When I arrived back condo after a many mile run, all I wanted was to bask in some cool air conditioning plus relax. Ten I started to realize the “basking in the air conditioning” section wasn’t going to happen because our air conditioning component stopped laboring last week; I also started to realize that every afternoon when I got back from our run I would return only to a humid home with no air conditioning I could believe the motivation begin to slip out of me. Then it hit me, why not just invest in a state of the art air conditioning component before the race? What could be better motivation to go on a jog after a full afternoon of work than coming back to a condo that is set to a refreshing 71 degrees! As extra motivation, if I win this half marathon I will be able to spend money it off with the prize currency I make! The race is only a few afternoons away now, however I have been training as hard as ever while both of us were in this last month, plus I am ready to win this race so I can spend money off the modern component I bought, plus get those holiday afternoons to put the cherry on top. Wish myself and others luck!

I was ready to go to classes & learn everything there was to learn about heating, ventilation, & a/c. I couldn’t contain our excitement the first day when I started our classes. Most of the men who were there didn’t even take notice that I was there. It was love I was invisible. Even when I raised our hand, I didn’t get called on. Okay, so I am only numerous feet eleven inches & I don’t go over eighty pounds. That doesn’t mean it is okay to ignore me. I stood up & shouted to the mentor that I had a question. Everyone turned around when I opened our mouth. I have a really husky & really loud voice. I grew up with numerous siblings & all of them are well over 6 feet tall. Both of our parents are over numerous feet multiple inches. I take after our great-Grandmother who was only numerous feet, give or take an inch as she tells it. I gave them our name & told them I had some questions about the ventilation system. I knew the respected terms & I told them that I came from a long line of Heating & Air Conditioning workers. I spent multiple months in that class & I was always competing to get our questions answered. When I took our certification test, I passed it with a perfect score. I’m thinking that I was finally getting the attention I wanted, & all I had to do was the impossible. I got the only perfect score in our entire Heating & Air Conditioning class.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have had the air conditioning turned off as well as it is genuinely comfortable in our home.
