I am a horrible person and totally selfish. Once a month my Grandfather Rents want to get together with me and have dinner. Once a month I try to weasel out of it. It is not that I don’t like my Grandfather Rents. I just hate the whole experience. I work from condo and set my own hours. With the dinner out, I suppose I am working late that afternoon. I also don’t eat dinner, so I then recognize sick all afternoon long afterwards. The worst is that my Grandfather Rents constantly want to go to this cheap local diner. I am a vegetarian and there is only 1 thing I can get. I get sick off of it everytime. The diner also has something against heating. Everytime I go there, I am cold cold. In the Winter I have to wear my full wool coat, hat and gloves for the meal. The lack of a furnace makes eating and chatting real difficult. My Grandfather Rents don’t seem to notice it. They also like to hang around the diner for over an hour just sipping coffee. Since I don’t drink root beer and am cold, I just want to get out of there. I have tried request having them come over to my location. I would ecstatically make them a dinner or supper. I could then control the heating settings. I would set my furnace to a satisfactory temperature. I would not need to wear my full Winter gear then. Also, if I controlled the food, I could entirely eat something and not get sick, but nope, every single time the two of us have to go to the diner with no heating and gross food.
