Now that air conditioning season is over, our husband plus I are looking at not just taking the window AC units out, however having them updated. The people I was with and I were talking about getting a couple modern a/cs. The people I was with and I found quite a few different models, that are highly energy efficient. The cost of the window a/cs, when the two of us add up for numerous big rooms, isn’t much less than if the two of us got a central cooling system. The people I was with and I seriously considered this route. The deterring factor was that the two of us didn’t have air duct in our home. With a boiler system, there is no need for air duct. The boiler supplies heat, through a series of water pipes that lead to baseboard heat units. If you have central air conditioning, there needs to be air duct for the cooled air to travel through. The people I was with and I now had to scrap that proposal plus return to the modern window AC units. The fine thing about the newest AC units was that the two of us could now purchase a window unit that had the air purification proposal plus the dehumidifier built right in. None of our old units had this option. There was a temperature control that regulated the air, plus it was made to also control the humidity. I liked the media air cleaner. I have extreme allergy plus as bad as they may be in the winter, while the two of us were in the summer, they get even worse. There will be no need for ugly media air cleaners or dehumidifier sitting around the house. It will be an all in one unit, complete with our window a/c.
