I have been so happy to start this current task for weeks. Finally I am getting out of my crappy retail task plus into a line of job that legitimately allows for movement. Plus, with this current task I’ll be getting healthcare plus 401k. It is everything I ever wanted from a line of work. However, my excitement started to wane Last month when I finally got to begin my first day at the office. It’s going to be Christmas in a few weeks, plus its cold enough outside that every body of water is frozen. Well, it feels prefer it’s that cold in my office too! I tried to brush it off, maybe the Heating plus Air Conditioning idea was just broken? I’ve had weirder things happen on my first day at a current task, however yet when I was being given the tour by the HR manager, I walked by the control equipment for my office level. They had the control equipment set below 60 degrees! That’s just absurd. I wanted to ask the HR manager about the cold setting for their temperature control system, but I was too afraid to. The last thing I wanted to do is have my current boss assume I wasn’t fit for the task before I had even started. So, I waited until I was getting settled in at my desk. Then I finally asked a single of my current coworkers what the deal was with the Heating plus Air Conditioning system. They say they do it for the tablets plus the hostesses, that the heating plus cooling idea is kept actually low so the tech runs more efficiently. Though my coworker joked that its just to keep pretty much everyone awake plus on task. I assume I’ll be buying a lot of sweaters; I am determined to make this work!
