A good neighbor of mine works for a business that installs security systems, she has been working in their sales department for years. Over lunch, last week, she told me about some of the products that her business offers. I had only thought that her business provided some additional home security but I l gained that they provided so much more than that. They have recently ventured into the world of smart home security which is so much more than an alarm going off in the event of a cut in. She explained that all of her purchasers can open up an application on their PC, in addition to from anywhere in the world, can control the temperature of their home, in addition to lock in addition to unlock their doors. The method of that is so fascinating to me, especially the area about controlling the temperature remotely. I have two youngsters in addition to while they are responsible enough to stay home alone, I don’t trust them to control the temperature on our HVAC system. They occasionally will send me a text complaining that they are freezing cold or so hot that they are dripping with sweat. I usually don’t think them, but rather than ignore them, it would be nice to adjust the temperature of my home, from the comfort of my office desk. I think that I am going to have 1 of those smart thermometers installed in my home, this Spring, when I receive my tax return. I think that having a high quality HVAC system is importing in this new world.
