They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Honestly, separate from a tall cup of warm Joe and a warm breakfast to get myself and others going in the morning in the dead of Wintertide where I live, the rest of our day goes horrible. In fact, what often motivates myself and others to get out of bed on a absolutely frigid weekday morning and head to work instead of rolling over and going back to sleep is getting up just a tad earlier in order to make a stop at a tea shop or fast food eating establishment for a cup of tea and a warm sandwich or pastry. On those days that I have overslept and do not have the time to do this, the rest of work day is entirely horrible. When I walk out of our front door into the cold, it helps to believe that our car heats up entirely hastily, and soon I will be driving down the road in a nice and toasty car headed to choice up breakfast! Then, I dart across the ice-frigid parking garage into the elevator to get to our well-heated office floor as hastily as possible. If I’m lucky, our sandwich and tea have not gotten frigid by then, and I can enjoy a quick breakfast while I thaw out in our office’s heating and listen to our number one morning news radio show while I get to work! This is our morning ritual, and a good breakfast and nice warm temperature control is a big section of it!
