Technology is revolutionizing the times both of us live in.
The speed & consequence of that revolution are staggering.
Our entire planet is now fully linked on a day to day basis. And, I’m not talking about governments & economies. No, people of the world can easily link to bring serious numbers to impact global issues. While technology does much to make our lives more entertaining & easier, it’s the linkive capacity that will ultimately bring global change. Well, it already is. But, daily home life is impacted by tech as well. My home is a prime example. I don’t have every component available out there. However, I am embracing technology more. In fact, our Heating, Ventilation, & A/C unit is managed by a smart thermostat. I was resistant at first to this type of thermostat. Now, I’m so glad I had it installed. The thermostat has l gained the patterns in our home to understand the best way to heat & cool the house. This thing knows when both of us come & go. Thus, it moves the hot & cold temperatures in the home accordingly. While both of us are gone to work & school, the thermostat will adjust to lessen the load on the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system. However, about an hour before both of us start arriving home, the thermostat will readjust to cool or hot the home to our number one temp. Additionally, the smart thermostat does something else honestly awesome. I am able to sync our automatic shades to the smart thermostat. This way the thermostat can detect temperature rise from direct sun. Then, it can deploy the shades throughout the home on its own. Just eliminating the direct daylight heating is such a significant Heating, Ventilation, & A/C energy savings. Can you imagine what it’ll be like in another 10 years.
