I had a feeling my roommate was infected

I know I might be a little extra paranoid right now, but I think that I might be sick this morning.

I woke up feeling like a truck hit me last night.

It feels like I didn’t sleep a wink and I was moving furniture all day while chain-smoking yesterday. I feel incredibly groggy, sore, and my respiratory tract is quite congested. I’m trying not to freak out, because I know that I am probably fine. However, you just can’t be too careful these days, can you? In my mind, it’s very viable that I’m sick because I’m ninety-nine percent sure that my roommate brought the virus into our house last week. She went out drinking one night, insistent that she would be careful, and ever since she’s been acting pretty weird. I first noticed that something might be wrong when I would hear the furnace clicking on and off more than usual throughout the day. It seemed like there was more heat pumping through our air vents than I was accustomed to. I went and checked the thermostat settings, and sure enough, she had bumped up the indoor air temperature by about 5 degrees compared to normal. Throughout the day, I noticed that the indoor air temperature was extremely uneven. It was hot one minute and cold the next. When I asked my roommate, she told me that she had been strangely hot and cold all day long. Then, I started hearing her hacking up a lung in the bathroom with the ventilation fan running. She must have thought that the hum of the fan would block out the sound of her coughing. It doesn’t. Maybe I’m super obsessive right now, but I have a feeling that with all these HVAC changes, we aren’t in our best health.
