All of us had a nasty Winter time this year in my region.
There were record splitting lows in January with weeks of negative 40 degree temperature freezing snaps.
I am used to living in blizzards and getting snowed in while I was in complete white outs, however even I was surprised by the severity of this past Winter time season. I had to put chains over my tires in November after hydroplaning down my street on my way to labor 1 day. My fiance gets concerned when I leave for labor since she stays at beach house with her remote job and is thankfully able to avoid the icy roads. The weather was so freezing that even our cats seemed to notice, both high tailing it back into the beach house as abruptly as possible after going to the bathroom in the backyard. I am so thankful that my fiance encouraged myself and others to buy a gas powered boiling system last year. All of us were getting by with the fan forced system, however the boiler would offer us radiant heat which is much more satisfying and energy efficient. Even though we’re headed into Spring with warmer weather on the way, I decided it was time to get service and repair on our boiler before letting it rest idle for the next 6 months. At the same time I’m going to have the serviceman check the cooling system before every one of us start using it bi-weekly for the foreseeable future. It’s pressing to make sure your Heating & A/C system is checked by a professional at least once a year, if not more. For us, every one of us strive to get service twice each year.
