At least I had some time to prepare for a rather expensive process. Replacing heating and cooling equipment isn’t cheap. So, it’s not exactly like I could just write a check and not have to figure out my finances later. Again, I’m sure glad to have gotten a long heads up from the HVAC company. That really made a difference in how this whole HVAC replacement situation went for my wife and I. And it could have been so the other way. We belong to the HVAC service plan from our local HVAC company. So part of that plan includes seasonal HVAC maintenance. And it was on one of these appointments that the HVAC technician told us that our HVAC unit was at the end. He told us that once we saw a significant spike in heating and cooling utility costs, we’d better have an HVAC replacement plan in place. This heads up ended up just being crucial for us. We were able to immediately do some specific saving. From there, we just sort of paid attention to the HVAC equipment. Any sound or weird noise was made not of. But then we saw the spike in HVAC cooling costs and that’s when we rolled into action on our plan. The HVAC contractor had already helped us choose our new residential HVAC replacement. We’d put a downpayment on the new HVAC unit and now we could finish paying for it and get some great HVAC cooling for the rest of the summer. We couldn’t be more pleased with the way this all turned out. The whole HVAC equipment replacement was seamless really.
