So that’s what I work for and they are the ones that I’ll do just about anything for. However, I won’t ever attempt an HVAC repair again for the comfort of our house. I’ll dang sure call the HVAC company. It’s much easier and they actually know what they’re doing. And perhaps that’s the thing about that HVAC mess that still just puzzles me no end. For some reason, I somehow forgot that I have absolutely no training when it comes to heating and cooling. So why in the world would I feel as though it was appropriate for me to start messing with the HVAC equipment? But that’s exactly what I did when I came home to find the air conditioning running but no HVAC cooling coming from the vents. Again, maybe the fact that the HVAC unit was still running was what lead me to think that I could somehow do something to make the HVAC cooling work. I’m still so confused over why I didn’t just stop and call the HVAC company. Instead, I pulled the panel off the air handler and messed around with the compressor outside. And in doing this stuff, I ended up just making things worse. Not only that but I also voided the warranty on the HVAC equipment by fooling with it myself. So that dumb move not only added to the HVAC repair bill but it cost me the factory warranty on an HVAC unit that’s not even 10 years old yet.
