The doctor had a really interesting suggestion when I went in to see him a couple of weeks ago. I have been dealing with a lot of allergy issues this whole year. I don’t know what’s going on with me but for some reason my allergies have been worse this year than they ever have before. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, I don’t know. All I know is that they are driving me crazy and it feels like the indoor air quality in my house is just not as good as it used to be. Of course all of that could be in my mind, but I don’t think so. Anyway, I went to the allergy doctor a couple of weeks ago and he had some interesting thoughts for me. Instead of prescribing me new medication or giving me a shot for my allergies, the doctor suggested that I call up my local heating and cooling company instead. He seems to think that I could help the allergy situation by improving the indoor air quality in my house. He may be on to something because I’ve never really thought about that before. Whenever I called the HVAC company to make the appointment, the person that I talked to said that they deal with this type of thing all the time. He said that they would do a professional cleaning of our ductwork and air vents and then they would install a whole home air purification system for us. He promised me that I would be able to tell a difference in the indoor air quality right away, so I’m feeling hopeful!
