I briefly remember thinking it was strange that the temperature control in our rental house was located in the laundry room. But it was something that I forgot about because I don’t constantly adjust the temperature control settings that often. Anyway, I started noticing that whenever I was doing laundry, the rest of the house would become kind of cold. I was wondering if I had some issue with the HVAC duct or something, but I didn’t suppose about the apparent answer to our problem, eventually, I called a acquaintance over and asked if she could help me solve the issue. I told him how occasionally it was too cold even when I would crank the temperature control settings on the temperature control. And then it would be too warm and I would have to lower the temperature control settings. This was driving me crazy. Then she asked me where the temperature control was and I told him it was in the laundry room. She then asked if I was using the dryer, and I mentioned how I had to use it a lot lately because I was helping our mother dry her clothes because her dryer wasn’t working. Then our friend looked at me for a moment to see if anything was clicking. I didn’t get it although she smiled and said it was apparently the fact that our laundry room was becoming warm. She said the exhaust was easily not connected all the way, but even if it were, I would still have a slightly warm laundry room. Well, she was right, it was warm in there. She said if I wanted to fix this issue, I would have to transport the temperature control to a smarter location.
