Getting our home ready to adopt children

The social worker said our house was actually really nice, but we lacked good air quality in the home.

When my wife and I learned that we could not have children together, we were both devastated. We both had talked about building a family for the longest time, long before we were ever married. The pain she was feeling was indescribable, but I decided to bring up the idea of adopting children. Her eyes lit up and she agreed that we could go that route. Well, when we worked with an adoption agency, there was actually quite a wait list to adopt children. Also, the interview process was very strict and thorough. They sent a social worker to the house to inspect everything to make sure our home was a suitable living environment for the children. They also made sure we had the space and separate bedrooms if we were looking to adopt multiple children. The social worker said our house was actually really nice, but we lacked good air quality in the home. She said it was not something to be overly concerned about, but she suggested that we vacuum more often as that helps improve the air quality. She also advised investing in a good UV air purification system since those are the best at keeping the youngsters safe from bacteria and viruses in the home. We were willing to do whatever we could, so we ended up upgrading the HVAC to a smart system. We now have a ductless HVAC that provides heating and cooling with multiple zones and built in air purification with the UV light! Now we’re ready to adopt and we can’t wait when we finally get the chance!
