I’ve never been a real fan of winter! And I’m not even truly from around here; but where I grew up, there was some winter season weather but it was nothing like what I experienced these afternoons… Then my parents had a good home that I was fortunate enough to grow up in, but our heating method was a wood stove primarily.
However, that’s simply because our Mom number one as well as my buddy and I lived on a lot of acreage with plenty of available firewood; but my buddy and I also had a heat pump that provided heating on the afternoons that weren’t all that cold.
And our neighbors all had heat pumps as well, it could get frosty but nothing like what I’m dealing with now; and yet this year, my buddy and I are doing so much better thanks to me finally tracking down a heating thief, and since we’ve been up here as well as in this house, I’ve not been completely committed to winter season prep on the house. Of course, each fall I call the heating, ventilation as well as A/C company to set the appointment for the heating repair, and that’s something that I’ve always done as it just makes nice sense. But as far as the home was simply nervous, I was sort of hit as well as miss. But this year, I truly took winter season preparation at home a lot more seriously. I even went so far as to get a thermal gun in order to find the source of a large heating leak in our home. This instant study temperature gun allowed me to see just where the heat was pouring out of the house. I was surprised to find so many small leaks. But I finally found the truly large 1 as well as was able to seal that up for good. Having a tighter home has made the winter season in our condo so much more comfortable.
