Yesterday I decided to take a risk and repair my own air conditioning system.
I only did so because I had the guidance of a professional heating days he worked.
My cousin Bob has been working at this local heating and AC business for the last 10 years now so you really know his stuff. I was originally going to do it most people do and that’s just pay for a heating and AC technician to do it for me. It was Bob however who convinced me not to do so. This is because he lives close by and he can easily come over and fix it for me. Additionally, he said he knows most of the HVAC businesses in the area and he said they HVAC a habit of charging way too much for a simple repair. Him offering to help me out with it and confuse me a little bit, I was always under the impression that if you’re not a professional heating and AC worker that you’re not supposed to try to repair your own heating and cooling system? I asked Bob about this and while he told me this is true, he said that there are some very basic repairs that even a simpleton like myself can do. I couldn’t help but laugh when he said that. He’s always been the kind of guy to make jokes. He came over to my house this evening and showed me how to repair my own window air conditioning system. We are much smoother than I thought and it wasn’t as difficult as I had imagined it to be.
