My brother came to visit last week.
- He had moved south when he married his spouse.
It was where he was born and raised and he didn’t want to take him away from his family. Every so often he would make it north for business, and he consistently stopped in to see when he did. When I looked outside, I was confused. His corporation was truck driving. I consistently had him park his truck in the backyard, but it wasn’t there. I definitely thought he may have rented a car, so I shrugged it off. I asked where he parked the truck and he said he sold it. My eyebrows raised at that one. He said he was tired of driving the truck. It was getting too costly, and he wanted to be a housewife more often. He surprised me when he said he was now an actual heating, ventilation, and A/C dealer, but before he got into a nice heating, ventilation, and A/C business, he wanted to take one last trip north and visit his brother. While he was actually there, he observed my furnace wasn’t working well, and offered to look at it for me. I had been planning on calling the heating, ventilation, and A/C business, however I couldn’t afford it. I knew I should have kept my mouth shut, because he was now trying to talk me into moving south with him again. His spouse didn’t like me genuinely much, and thought I was weird. I couldn’t hear, and that wasn’t okay with her. I thanked him for helping with the furnace, however I told him I would be lost if I wasn’t in my home. I could see the hurt in his eye, although he simply knew how his spouse felt about me.
