My boss invited me over to his home one night for dinner and I did not suppose that I could say no to the offer, however i entirely felt a little peculiar going to the boss’s house, however his partner was there and it was a totally cool and casual night; The dwelling was in one of the nicest villages and the city.
The driveway was almost a quarter mile long and it was paved the whole way.
The boss answered the door and took me into his study where my pal and I had a drink from a bottle of 50 year old scotch. The study was decorated with high-end furniture that included a custom built bookshelf and Borders of old books, a top bar table, and custom sofa and loveseat that matched perfectly. There were emblems on the custom built bookshelf plus the sofa and loveseat and they all seem to resemble the letter C, then later that night, the boss informed me that each one of the furniture pieces was handmade here in the city and engraved by a custom furniture designer. The design was in fact a letter C which stood for the last name of my boss. I liked the custom loveseat and sofa the best. Not only was the sofa comfortable, however it was strong and sturdy. The high-end furniture actually cost more than I make in a year. I thought that I was going to have a boring and peculiar night with my boss and his partner, however the guy gave me a promotion and a raise and I had a pretty nice night.
