My husband and I bought a home about five years ago, but it was not exactly what my friend and I wanted, but my friend and I had a vision to make it our dream home, one of the things that my friend and I planned on doing was finishing the basement. It is a big space that is just wasted, then my buddy and I wanted to finish it so that our children could come house and have their own space. My buddy and I planned to add a mini living room to the space plus three living rooms and a full size lavatory. It was a great plan, but my friend and I have never acted on it. I decided to start doing something myself to make it feel more homey down there… The first thing that I did was added a furnace because it was quite cold, but right now, it is just one large open space, so I thought that one furnace would do the trick, but it does not. It brings the temperature up to about sixty degrees… For some people, sixty degrees may be moderate enough but not for my teenagers. My teenagers are a lot like me when it comes to being cold all of the time. My child keeps her home at about seventy-five degrees year round because she gets cold entirely easily. I know that I am going to have to buy another furnace to put down there now. The one furnace just won’t cut it. I hope that the space will be more inviting once I have more furniture and another furnace down there. I plan to make it look as nice as possible plus keep it as moderate as possible within reason.
