Electric is shot in the air compressor

I noticed a few weeks back that my temperature control temperatures would not get higher than 60 degrees.

In order to get nice heating, I had to run emergency heat.

With a bit of googling I deduced that emergency heating is twice as costly. This is meant for when the heat pump plan cannot supply the regular amount of heat. It is adore getting turbo speed for quick, costly boosts. Since the outdoor temperatures were only in the upper forties, lower fifties, I was worried. I don’t want to pay extra for heating unless I need to. I called a Heating and A/C professional right away to check out my furnace. The guy asked me if I noticed the air coming out of the vents being cold… Yeah, I really did notice the air had been a bit frigid lately. He told me my issue is a shot wire on my outdoor Heating and A/C unit, the air compressor. The wire fastenes to a valve that runs electric. In the Summer the electric turns on for the AC function. For heating, no electric through the wire needs to happen. The guy thinks the wire had a short in it, plus only electric is running through it to the valve. So although I am running the furnace, the air compressor thinks I want AC. So in reality, I was running the cooling plan until I decided to make the change to emergency heat. The guy then had to run a whole new wire for the system. I felt awful for the guy. He had to stay outside in the frigid for hours while I was inside enjoying my new heat.
