Meal delivery helps out for divorced dad

When my wife & I divorced after six years of marriage.

It was a huge change in lifestyle.

I moved into an apartment. I had no furniture, bedding, dishes or any of the things I needed. I’d never shopped for silverware, worried about grocery lists or cooked before. Since I wanted to create a welcoming environment for my two little girls, I needed to figure things out quickly. I asked for tips from friends, got advice from my mother & studied all sorts of blogs. I tried cooking but it didn’t turn out very good. My abilities are limited to hard-boiled eggs and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. My daughters weren’t impressed. I took them out to eat at various restaurants, but that was expensive and not overly healthy. I finally found a better alternative. I enrolled in a meal delivery service. My daughters think it’s great. We go online and read through all of the menu options. I let the girls pick out what they want. The menu changes every month, so there’s always something new to try. The variety makes sure that both girls find things they like. My younger daughter is hard to please but loves these meals. My girls enjoy deciding what they want to eat for the week. I place the order & the meals are delivered right to my door. My girls read the instructions and I take care of preheating the oven. They like to set the timer. Because I don’t need to grocery shop or prepare meals, I have more time to spend with my girls. I would rather help with their homework, play a boardgame or read to them than fumble around in the kitchen.
