Weight lifting at work

It actually felt pretty awesome, that “burn” you feel after an intense weight lifting session

Let me tell you about my job, just to set the stage for the rest of my story. It’s good, trust me. I am an overnight security guard on a farm. It doesn’t pay much, but I don’t have much to offer so it’s a good fit. If you wonder why a farm needs a night security guy, it’s because of a) coyotes getting into the chicken coop b) local kids stealing stuff and c) cows getting out of the pen. So it’s not like I need to carry a gun, I just stay awake all night with my eyes peeled. I have started weight lifting while at work, just by accident and circumstance. I have never been into weight lifting, although I was naturally big and strong I didn’t want to put in the work. Weight lifting is serious training, you need to do it regularly or not mess around with it at all. Anyway, in one of the barns on the property I found some of the farm hands had converted it into a makeshift gym. There was a little gym equipment, including a full weight bench, so I started messing around with it. I take hourly strolls around the property, hitting all the checkpoints, but in between the rounds I started staying in the gym, and hitting the weights for short reps every hour. It actually felt pretty awesome, that “burn” you feel after an intense weight lifting session. Now I look forward to work, because I earn money, I get cardio, and I get to enjoy weight lifting for hours on end.
